--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Logan paced up and down his bedroom, clenching his fists. He'd attempted to leave the room several times already, but with each attempt came a drastic surge in anxiety pummelling into his chest.
Roman will hurt me. Logan inhaled sharply, shaking his head. These terrible thoughts of infliction had been reigning terror in his mind, so much so that he found himself panicky each time he heard a knock on the door.
It's probably Patton, his intelligence whispered in his ear. Logan had at least been able to conclude that Patton was safe, but as for Roman and Virgil? A frightful shiver ran down his spine. They are dangerous. Don't go near them.
The door slowly peeled open, and Roman stepped inside. Logan jolted back, his back thudding against the bedroom wall.
"Patton isn't letting me in here, and I am pretty worried, are you alright?" Roman spoke. He'd picked the perfect moment when Patton was not around to sneak into Logan's room, and knew instantly that something wasn't right.
Logan had fear in his eyes he'd only recognized in Virgil's. He seemed terrified, which was so unusual for the embodiment of Logical thinking.
"I'm okay," he wavered, scanning Roman from head to toe. Logan held his arms outstretched in front of him as the prince stepped forward, fear fluttering in his chest. "Please don't come any closer."
Roman stopped instantly, keeping his distance. "Why am I not allowed to see you?"
Logan sighed, pushing his glasses up his nose with one hand. "I've been injected with venom, has Patton told you that?" Roman nodded. He was beginning to thoroughly hate Deceit, more so than he had given credit for in the past.
"The venom makes me think things I would never think. Lies, deception, falsehood."
Roman tilted his head, inching forward. He recognized the pain and confusion from Remus all those years before when he too had been injected.
"What are you thinking about?"
Logan swallowed before speaking. "Roman, I," a shock wave of fear rushed through his body as he imagined himself being beaten mercilessly with a broom by Roman. He made a choking noise, instinctively flinching on the spot.
The broom pounded against his back in his mind. Again, and again, he was sobbing, begging for Roman to stop...
"Logan!" Roman exclaimed, wrapping arms around the whimpering young man. He ignored the frightened screams and cries which escaped his lips, instead standing strong and mustering. "Everything is okay, everything is okay, deep breaths, trust me."
After several minutes of Logan yelling, yelping, thrusting and flailing against his embrace, he slowly began to slow down. His breathing was still faster than usual, but he had stopped attacking.
"Shh, everything is okay, you okay now?"
Logan slowly began to feel warmth in the gesture. He was safe, Roman was safe.
"R-roman, are you going to hurt me?"
Roman furrowed his brows. "Hurt you? I would never hurt you."
"I know, but I'm scared."
Roman slowly sunk down to the ground, holding Logan as he leaned against the wall. Logan's head was soon rested into the prince's chest, and his fingers were running through his soft brown locks.
"I care so much about you Teach. You don't need to be scared, okay?"
Logan slowly nodded, swallowing rapidly. "Thank you Princey."
