Warning! At the end of the chapter i will write a brief conclusion of what actually happened, (minus triggers,) so if you aren't okay with the themes of this one, just read that. Triggers include: Abuse, violence, vomit, blood, panic.

"Get away from me, Father," Virgil whimpered, baring his teeth at the snake standing over him. He was draped over the ground, clutching his bruised and bloodied shoulder in his hand and his journal under his arm.

Deceit hissed aggressively, holding a cane in his hands. He lifted it over Virgil's body, but he couldn't do it anymore. He was crying, tripping over his blurred vision. "I will not allow you to leave me, you are my son!"

Virgil backed away, flinching heavily at the gesture. He quickly scrambled to his feet, running hastily to the Light Side door.
"No, no, no!" Janus yelled. "You can't leave, I'll hurt you, I'll hurt Remus, I'll hurt myself!"

Anxiety twisted the doorknob, staggering onto the other side of the door and squinting in the blinding light. He then threw closed the door with a heavy bang, breathing shallowly as he struggled for air.

Then he remembered. He dug his hand down his shirt, his face washed in terror. His amulet, he'd left it in the Dark Side.

"No," he whispered. "No, no, no..." He heard a harsh beating against the door, and the knob turning. He needed to run, fast.

*

Patton jerked his head at the sound of the door slamming, placing the tray of biscuits atop the kitchen bench with a jolt. He spun around to Roman, who met his gaze with unexpected eyes.

"Was that Logic?"

Patton shrugged, sliding the mittens off his hands. "I'll go check." He left the kitchen, bumping straight into Logan who cleared his throat.

"Apologies Morality, I heard a slam. I was coming to see if everything was alright."

Suddenly, all three sunk at the command of Thomas, rising into the living room with surprise. They turned to their host, shocked to see his face red and body shaking.

"I, I'm scared, why, nothing's happening, help..."

Patton instantly came to his aid. "Hey, Kiddo, what's wrong?"

"I, I don't know! You're my sides, you should know!"

Logan adjusted his glasses. "None of us were responsible for how you are feeling Thomas. I don't suppose someone else could be?"
The sides were silent, until finally Patton spoke up. "We don't know for sure, but perhaps there is."
"What do you mean?!" Thomas yelled.

"There are more of us, Thomas." Logan straightened his tie.

*

Virgil could hear the sound of Deceit's footsteps, chasing him down the corridor.

"Get back here!"

Virgil ran harder, until he came at last to a dead end. The horrible, half-snake man approached him, the weapon in his hand. Virgil squeezed shut his eyes with a deep inhale, before taking the plunge and sinking down. He felt his entire falling through the void of Thomas's mind, until he eventually rose into the living room. He'd never risen before, and with the wave of nausea and panic he felt he was sure he'd never attempt it again.

"Who is this!?" Thomas shouted.

Virgil fell back with the book in hand, gasping against the stairs. He leaned his head through the railing, purging sickly before lying motionless against the ground with a weak groan. His shoulder was aching, and his eyes felt heavy as he tried to lift his head to better scan the menagerie. There stood a young handsome prince, a serious scholar, and a third side dressed in a blue polo shirt, staring down at him.

"Oh my goodness! Are you okay?" The polo shirted individual bent down to his side, noticing instantly that his hoodie concealed shoulder was soaked a deep red. "You're hurt! Logic, get some bandages, quick!"

Logan quickly rushed to the medicine cabinet, all while Roman was frozen with fear. His brother, his brother could be in danger!

"Who is this, why don't I know who you are?" Thomas was still exacerbated, but he'd stopped shouting once he saw how panicked the unknown side appeared.

Patton spoke slowly. "I think this must be paranoia."

Ok, so now for a conclusion. Basically, Virgil escaped the dark side because he was in danger, and rose up into the Light Side living room. His shoulder was injured, so Patton was just about to bandage him up. (A little more happened, but without mentioning triggers I can't say.) Sorry about this :(
