"Hey babe my friend is holding a pool party tonight will you come with me?" Asked Mingi as his boyfriend looked up at him from his position cuddling on the sofa. "Hmm okay babe. Which friend?" Asked Hongjoong knowing how much of a social butterfly Mingi is. "Yunho" said Mingi. "Oh him" said Hongjoong slightly annoyed. "Joongie I know you don't like him but we've been best friends for so long. I can't just stop being friends with him because you don't like him" said Mingi upset at his boyfriends reaction. "I know that babe but sometimes I think he just acts too friendly towards you" said Hongjoong. "That's just his personality babe. Anyway since your coming make sure to wear your swimming trunks tonight" said Mingi.
Hongjoong hummed and continued holding the younger close as they cuddled. Later that evening and the pair got ready to go out. Mingi wore his favourite blue swimming trunks along with a white shirt since he knew Hongjoong didn't like other people to see Mingis abs, since he claimed they were his, which always made Mingi giggle at his short boyfriends possessiveness. Hongjoong wore some red swimming trunks and a white shirt to match his fluffy red hair. Once they'd got their flip flops on they headed to the car. They didn't bother to bring their phones since they didn't want to accidentally drop it in the pool. Hongjoong drove there and once they arrived they parked up out front and noticed how busy it was.
"I won't drink anything since I'll be driving but you can. But not too much baby because I won't be able to carry your drunk ass back to the car. " Said Hongjoong. "Ok babe let's go" said Mingi. Hongjoong locked the car putting the keys in his pocket. They held hands as they got through the door into the party. "Let's head to the pool" shouted Mingi over the music. Hongjoong nodded and Mingi led him through the big house out to the back where there was a bar and a big pool. Lots of people were there in bikinis and shorts with alot of skin on show.

Hongjoong pulled Mingi over to the bar where they sat and had a drink. Hongjoong had a non alcoholic drink whilst Mingi had a glass of wine. The two chatted and enjoyed the music and scenery. "I'm just gonna go toilet I'll be back in a minute ok" said Hongjoong. Mingi nodded and kissed his cheek. Hongjoong smiled and headed inside pushing past people and heading to the bathroom. Once he found one that was empty he locked the door and sat on the counter for a bit. Hongjoong didn't like parties much so he often just took a moment to calm down in the bathroom.
After a while Hongjoong came out the bathroom and headed back to the bar. However when he got there he couldn't see Mingi. Hongjoong looked around and finally spotted him in the pool. He was at the side of the pool with another glass of wine but what angered Hongjoong was that Yunho was with him. Yunho had his hand either side of Mingi on the edge of the pool. Hongjoong wanted to cry at the sight. Hongjoong never told Mingi but he was actually quite self conscious and always worried that Mingi would find someone better and leave him. One person that Hongjoong feared was Yunho because of how handsome, tall and muscly he was.
