Angst
FluffThe earthquake
Hongjoong smiled as he finished his revision notes. They had an assessment coming up in school so Hongjoong wanted to make sure he aced it so he could make his parents proud. He had moved cities to go to a school and get a job in the big city. He had to leave his parents behind but he promised he would do everything and anything to make them proud. Hongjoong looked confused as he heard sirens in the street. He knew those sirens. They were earthquake sirens.
Hongjoong panicked and grabbed his phone and teddy before running downstairs to his basement. He had a small basement underneath his apartment but the entrance was in the garden. Hongjoong hurried to find the keys and unlock the door. Once the door was unlocked he ran to the basement doors and unlocked them chucking his stuff in before seeing a child crying in the street.
Hongjoong felt the earth begin to shake. Hongjoong ran as fast as he could to the little boy and picking him up placing him on his hip and running back in his garden to get in the basement. Hongjoong shut the door just in time as the ground shook more violently and buildings in the area started getting damaged with some falling apart. The little boy continued crying so Hongjoong held him close and tried to keep him calm despite his own tears streaming down his face.
Hongjoong realised what he was wearing and sighed. He only had on boxers, a thigh length shirt and fluffy thigh high socks. Hongjoong waited five minutes after the ground had finished shaking before sitting the boy down and attempting to open the door but something was on top preventing it from opening. Jongho curled up on the street as he waited for the earth to stop shaking. Luckily it was a wide road so not much fell near him. Once it stopped shaking Jongho could see people running around with some injured and even some fatalities.
Jongho thought for a second before remembering a cute boy from his classroom lived on this street. Jongho ran down the street a bit of blood on his cheek as he hurried to look for the apartment the boy lived in. Once Jongho got there he ran round the side and heard banging and crying from the garden. Jongho saw the basement door but there was a few bricks on top stopping it from opening. Jongho hurried to move everything from on top and open it quickly.
"Hongjoong hyung you there?" Asked Jongho as he finally managed to get the door open. "I have a child with me get him out first" said Hongjoong. Jongho agreed and Hongjoong lifted the child as high as he could and Jongho reached in lifting the child out. Jongho bounced the child on his hips to try and calm him down before giving Hongjoong a hand to get out. Hongjoong sat on the grass teddy and phone in hand as he dried his tears. "Are you ok hyung?" Asked Jongho worried.
"Y-yes I'm ok" said Hongjoong blushing that the hot muscly boy from his class had saved him. Hongjoong had had a crush on Jongho for ages. Jongho looked at Hongjoong's outfit and wanted to hold the elder close and protect him because of how cute he looked. Hongjoong blushed and crawled over clinging to Jonghos shirt as he calmed down. Jongho smiled holding the elder close trying to make him feel safe.
Once they'd both calmed down Jongho looked at the child asleep in his lap. "Do you know him?" Asked Jongho. "It's my elderly neighbors grandson. She took him on after his mother overdosed. We need to check on her" said Hongjoong. Jongho nodded putting the little boy on his hip and taking Hongjoong's hand as the elder lead him to a house across the road. Hongjoong ran in the door and burst out into tears as he saw his elderly neighbor on the floor with blood all over the carpet and her head. "Miss song, Miss song wake up please" shouted Hongjoong shaking her gently.
Jongho reached down and checked her pulse... But there was nothing... She was gone. "I'm sorry hyung. She's gone" said Jongho. "No no no" said Hongjoong bursting into tears again. Jongho held him close. "It's going to be ok. Everything will be ok" said Jongho. Jongho guided Hongjoong outside. "It's going to be ok hyung. My apartment is hardly damaged let's go there" said Jongho. Hongjoong nodded and stayed clinging onto Jonghos sleeve as they walked to Jonghos house with Hongjoong hobbling slight since he didn't have any shoes.
Once they got there they put the little boy on the sofa to continue sleeping whilst Hongjoong and Jongho on the other sofa. "Do you know his name?" Asked Jongho. "I think it's Mingi" said Hongjoong holding his teddy close. Suddenly Hongjoong's phone went off. Hongjoong answered the phone and smiled as it was his parents. They rang checked he was ok before having to head off and help their street. "You okay now hyung?" Asked Jongho. "Yeah... I'm just a bit scared" said Hongjoong. "I'll protect you hyung" said Jongho.
"Promise me something" said Hongjoong. Jongho nodded. "promise you won't leave me" said Hongjoong. "I promise hyung" said Jongho leaning in and kissing Hongjoong tenderly. Hongjoong blushed kissing back. "How about we take Mingi on as ours" said Jongho. "And bring him up?" Asked Hongjoong. Jongho nodded. "I think that's what miss song would have wanted" said Hongjoong smiling. The two kissed again before cuddling up.
And Jongho kept his promise, never leaving Hongjoong's side.
