"Baby I know you've had something on your mind the past few weeks. Can you please tell me what it is that's bothering you baby. I want to help" said Hongjoong as his boyfriend snuggled up to him spaced out clearly thinking about something. "It's nothing babe don't worry" said Seonghwa even though he knew he was just lying to himself and his boyfriend who was only trying to help. "I know you're lying Hwa please tell me" pleaded Hongjoong caressing Seonghwas cheek. "Y-you know the episode we recorded the other day and we had the kid as an instructor and we made that complicated bread?" said Seonghwa. "Yes babe. Did something happen?" asked Hongjoong worried. "Not really, but it made me think, about us" said Seonghwa.
"What about us babe?" asked Hongjoong now sat up in worry. "It made me think about us having children in the future, I know that we can't biologically but I was thinking maybe we could adopt if you also want a child of course" said Seonghwa fiddling with his hands. "But babe your already a mother to the rest of the group" said Hongjoong trying to think things through in his head. "That's not the same babe, they're fully grown adults capable of looking after eachother... You don't want a child do you?" said Seonghwa. "Hey babe that's not what I mean, come here" said Hongjoong sat up against the wall patting his lap. Seonghwa straddled his lap and the two kissed softly for a while. "I want a child too Hwa, you would make such a cute mother but I worry that with our jobs we won't have enough time for them that's all" said Hongjoong caressing Seonghwa thighs.
"I know. Could we maybe talk to the manager about it?" said Seonghwa. "Of course babe i'll talk to him when I next get the chance" said Hongjoong. The two kissed a few times before laying back down and heading back to sleep. A few days later Hongjoong called their manager into his studio. "Yes Hongjoong is something wrong?" asked their manager as he sat on the couch. "Yes sort of. I'm wondering if it's possible to change our timetables?" said Hongjoong nervous. "Why do they need changing?" asked his manager. "Seonghwa and I had a talk the other day. He would like to take the next step in our relationship and adopt a child" said Hongjoong. "Oh wow I didn't expect that" said their manager. After a few hours of discussing, arranging and contacting a few people they managed to have the whole of Ateez's timetables changed.
Him and Seonghwa had the most changed timetable and the other had their timetables loosened a bit so that they could look after their niece aswell. When Hongjoong got home that night he told Seonghwa and then they both told the rest of the group which led to a mini celebration. About two weeks later and the two headed to an adoption centre since Hwa had secretly put in request a few months ago. The two were asked what age range and gender they had in mind. The two decided on a girl between the age of 2-4. They were led to a room and introduced to a few of the girls but they instantly bonded with one of the girls. By the end of their session she had fell asleep on Seonghwas lap after eating a sweet Hongjoong gave her.
The two knew that this little girl was the one. Over the next few weeks Mingi moved out of his room voluntarily and moved into Yunhos and Sans room. This meant that the two were able to nicely redecorate Mingis room into a room for their daughter. A month after they visited the two returned to the centre to pick her up. "Hello how can I help you?" asked the receptionist.
"We're here to collect Kim-Park Eunjoo" said Hongjoong.
*1 year later*
"Eomma i'm hungry" said Eunjoo as she ran into the kitchen. Eunjoo was now four years old and had settled into her new home quite easily and got along really well with her six uncles and even helped to get Mingi and Yunho together. "Okay sweetheart what would you like for dinner?" asked Seonghwa picking her up and resting her on his small hips. "Chicken nuggets and chips please Eomma" she said. "Ok sweetheart how about you go tell your father tea is in half an hour and the go play with your uncles" suggested Seonghwa. Eunjoo nodded enthusiastically and headed off to find her dad. Once she had told her dad she managed to find uncle Yeosang and uncle Jongho and persuaded them to play with her till tea was ready. Once tea was ready she ran to her dad and asked him to carry her.
Hongjoong smiled and picked his daughter up carrying her to the kitchen and sitting her on his lap as they both ate dinner. Everyone knew that Eunjoo had them wrapped around her little finger but none liked to admit it. Recently they had been invited on a survival/competition show called Kingdom. Since Mingi was still of improving his health he looked after Eunjoo whilst they were preparing and the two cheered the rest of the team on. It took a few months but soon the show started to get aired and the group was doing quite well even managing to get first place a few times. Eunjoo was really proud of her Eomma and Appa and always made sure they know it.
*Present*
Hongjoong held Seonghwa close as they kissed softly. Today was the announcement of which team won kingdom. They had all been really tense lately but having their daughter their for the who was currently five years old always cheered them up. All teams headed out and sat on their placements. Mingi and Eunjoo were backstage with their fingers crossed praying for Ateez. After about half an hour of tension the top three were revealed. It was Straykids, Ateez and Ikon. Soon third place was revealed to be Ikon. Everyone could feel the tension as first place was about to be announced.

ATEEZ! Congratulations" said the mc making everyone clap and cheer whilst the team sat there in shock. Seonghwa screeched and hugged Hongjoong tightly with the rest of the team joining them in a massive pile. Suddenly Eunjoo ran out jumping around happily making everyone smile. "Therapist man" said Eunjoo pointing at Chan making him smile and wave. "Give him a hug Eunjoo" said Yunho smiling knowing that Eunjoo loved watching his vlives. Eunjoo ran over and jumped on Chan making the idol giggle and hug her back. "Kittie ears" said Eunjoo pointing at the clip on ears Chan had on. Chan smiled and unclipped them placing them gently in her hair. "Perfect kitty. It's so nice to meet you. You should go congratulate your parents they did a fantastic job didn't they" said Chan.
Eunjoo smiled and kissed Chans cheek making everyone awe over how cute she was before running over to her parents. Seonghwa picked her up and spun her around before holding her close with Hongjoong joining the hug and soon the other members joined too feeling left out. Although it was difficult from the start the two never regretted their decision to adopt and loved Eunjoo as if she truly was theirs from birth. And Eunjoo was there to cheer them up and congratulate them throughout their future.
