"Are you sure you don't wanna stay? You know y'all can stay here as long as you want." Camilla tells me. I kissed my big sisters cheek and gave her a side hug. Kaiden was asleep on my chest. "Nah, I'm tired, sissy. Way too much has gone on tonight. We also gotta get the kids home." I insisted. "Aw, okay. Get home safe and call me as soon as you get in." Camilla says. "I will. I love you." I love you, too."
So, the dinner was a complete disaster. My half sisters are some evil ass bitches. I was going to leave but instead Camilla made them leave. Kaleb, the kids, and I ended up staying at Camilla's for 3 hours. Kaiden was out for the night.
By the time we got in the car, both Kaleb and KJ were fast asleep. My babies. The way Aria and Elle treated me today, they'll never come anywhere near my children. Ever in their lives. You speak on my family, especially my kids? You're dead to me.
"You okay, baby? You been quiet the whole car ride." Kaleb says. I sighed. "I'm okay. What happened at dinner tonight was just a lot." I admitted. My husband grabbed my thigh. "I know, mama. I'm so sorry. What happened was fucked up. I'm just glad the kids ain't see any of that shit." Kaleb says. "Oh, my God. Right? I'd be horrified if they were out there with us." I said. "Facts. Then I'd have to fight ya pops." My husband says, laughing. I lay my head back against the seat. "You sure you're okay? You went quiet again." Kaleb says. "I just can't believe Michael's my father. My mother dropped the bomb 4 years ago and I still can't believe it." I said. Kaleb grabbed my hand. "I know it's a lot. You got every right to feel the way you do." He tells me.
It took us an hour to get home because of traffic. As soon as we got home, I put my babies to bed. Then, I put my pajamas on. When I got into the bedroom, Kaleb was laying in bed all cozy. I figured now would be the perfect time to tell him. Kaleb notices me and smiled from ear to ear. "Come here." He said. I made my way over to my man. He wrapped his arms around me and kissed my forehead. "I'm pregnant." I tell him.

Krystal

"Babe, something came in the mail for you." Justin says. "Ooh, what is it?" I asked. "I don't know. It's just an envelope with your name on it." My man tells me. I look up from my laptop. Justin hands me the envelope. "Aww, it's from Lauren." I said opening it.
I haven't seen Lauren since the very last time she came over. I hoped everything was good with her and the girls. Penelope should be 3 now. Lauren and those girls deserved nothing but the best. They were great people.

Dear Krystal,
I know it's been a while since we've spoken. I just needed to get away from Julian. So, I picked up and moved back to Texas. I changed my phone number and everything. That's why I haven't texted or called. Anyway, of course the girls came with me. I have family here in Texas and I've decided to go back to nursing school just like we talked about. I've been in school for a few months now and I couldn't be happier. I just wanted to thank you for everything. I don't know what I'd do without you. I'd probably be dead. You're such a beautiful person inside and out. We miss you guys so much! But we'll keep in touch. Here's my new number: 865-234-6647
xoxo, Lauren

I put the letter down and wiped my eyes. "What was it?" Justin asked. "Lauren sent me a letter. She finally left Julian." I said. "Really? That's great. Good for her! Did she say where she was at now?" My husband said. "She took the girls and moved to Texas. I'm so happy for her. Oh, my God!" I said. I was about to throw out the envelope when I noticed there was something else inside. "Oh, wait. There's something else in here." I said. When I saw what else was inside the envelope, I almost cried. It was a Polaroid picture of Lauren and her girls. They all looked so happy. On the bottom of the picture were the words: "we love you" written in permanent marker.
I held the picture close to my heart and let the tears fall. It just made me so happy that Lauren and the girls were in such a better place. Anybody that knew Lauren, knew that she was a good hearted person. What Julian put her through was awful. I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy. Nobody deserved that.
