"Ooh, they're about to call Leiani's name. Be quiet!" I said to Jamari. I struggled to get my phone out of my purse so that I could record. "Leiani Samuels." The woman says. When we heard them call out baby girls name, we all hopped up and cheered. She walked across the stage in her cute pink dress.
Today was an emotional day. Leiani was graduating from kindergarten and moving on to first grade. My baby was growing up way too fast. We were all there to support her. Me, her father of course, her little sister, auntie Cece, Uncle Kaleb, and her cousins.
"Mommy, are you okay?" Leiani says. I smile and take a deep breath. "Mommy's fine, baby. I'm just so proud of you!" I tell her. I gently rubbed my daughters chin.
I was convinced that I had the best kids ever. And I wasn't just saying this because I was their mother. Leiani was 6 but she was the smartest 6 year old I've ever met. She had such an old soul and was wise beyond her years. Now, my youngest baby girl, Lyla was more on the quiet side. She was only 2 but was so spoiled and wasn't really a people person.

"Camilla, where you want me to put the potato salad?" I asked. "Who made potato salad?" My sister asked. "Me." I say proudly. "Really?" She says. I nodded my head. "Period! Put it on the table in the backyard." She says. I smiled and made my way out back.
After my nieces graduation, Camilla and Jamari had  a small barbecue at their house. It wasn't anything over the top. The kids were all outside in the pool. Jamari and Kaleb were chilling by the grill.
"Mommy, can you help me put this on?" Kaiden asked, handing me his floaty. I take the floaty from him and notice it's a bit deflated. "You can go back in the pool after you eat, okay?" I said. My child nodded. "Okay." He says.
I had 3 of the most amazing children ever. Yes, I was a little biased because I was their mama. KJ, my oldest son was now 9 years old. I couldn't believe it. He was going to start 4th grade in the fall. Next, was my baby Kaiden. He was 5 and going to kindergarten. Kaiden was a year younger than his cousin Leiani, and they were the best of friends. Finally, there was my princess, Kaia. The only girl and honestly our last child. Miss Kaia was 3 years old but had the attitude of a 13 year old. She was spoiled because she was the only girl. I mean, all of my kids were spoiled but this girl took the cake. She had her daddy wrapped around her tiny little finger.
"What do you wanna eat, babe?" I asked Kaiden. "I want a hot dog and macaroni and cheese." He tells me. "That's all you want?" I say, making him a plate. He nodded his head, causing his curly hair to move. "Yes, mama." He says. I smiled and handed him his plate. "Okay, go sit down with your brother and Lei Lei. I'm gonna bring you a juice box." I said. I watched my son run across the grass to sit with his siblings.
"Okay, so guess who's here. Don't panic." Camilla says. "Usually when you tell me not to panic, I panic. So, I'd appreciate it if you would stop saying that." I tell my sister. I continued to make myself and the kids some to go plates to take home. "Cece, you know you not gonna eat all that food. Or you might. You did gain all that weight." A familiar voice says from behind me.
"Camilla, why are the twins here? Please tell me you didn't invite them!" I said quietly to my sister. "Of course I didn't! The fact that you would even assume that hurts my feelings." She says. I take a deep breath and close my eyes for a minute. "Why are they here, then?" I asked. "I don't know! You want me to tell them to leave, cause I have no problem kicking they asses out." Camilla says. "Would that make me look like a bitch?" I questioned. "Girl, no! They showed up uninvited. They can go to hell." My big sister says. I laughed.
"Aria and Elle, what are y'all doing here?" Camilla says once we get back outside. The twins exchange glances and then they giggle. "Camilla, we follow you on Instagram." Elle says. I stare at my sister but try to focus on my children. Kaia was enjoying a popsicle but she got most of it on her bathing suit.
I didn't know what would possess these tweevil bitches to show up here, unannounced and most importantly, uninvited. They made it crystal clear several times that they didn't like us. So, I was confused.
"Okay, and?" Camilla says. "We saw that you were having a barbecue and it looked like y'all were having a good time. So we just popped up." Aria says. Camilla and I gave each other a look. "So, basically you pop up to somebody's house without warning and without an invitation. That's basically what you did." I butted in. "Baby.." Kaleb said. "No. I'm just confused. Who shows up to a persons house without even asking if they can come? Not only is that weird, but it's also disrespectful." I said.
It took a while, but Aria and Elle finally left. Kaleb would not let my waist go. He swore I was gonna slap a bitch. I mean, I wanted to. But I was a mother who had 3 children that needed me. I had way too much to lose now. None of the fighting was worth it.
"Babe, you ready to go? I'll bring the car around." Kaleb says, joining me on my sisters balcony. He was holding our sleeping baby girl. I smiled and rubbed her chunky cheek. "Yeah, I'm ready. Let me just go say bye to my sister and my niece." I said. "Of course! Hey, you good?" My husband says. I deeply sigh. "We'll talk about it later, okay?" I say. "Okay." He says, before kissing my cheek.
