Camilla
"I'm sorry, Jamal did what??" I say, trying to eat my sushi. "You heard me, sis." Celeste said. I shook my head and immediately started to feel sick after what my sister told me. "That's disgusting. I don't even know what to say. I'm sick to my stomach." I said. I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to even finish my food. That's how disgusted I was.
My sister and I wanted to meet up for brunch after she got back from Florida. We decided to go to this cute little restaurant not too far from where we both lived. Celeste has been here before, but this was my first time. She said the food was amazing. I took her word for it.
Anyway, Celeste just finished telling me what happened to her while she was in Florida. I was absolutely disgusted. "I'm so sorry,Cece! How are you feeling?" I said. My sister took a deep breath and played with her food. "It's okay. I'm fine, honestly. Even though Kaleb's sister thinks I'm a whore now." Celeste tells me. I made a face. "Wait what?" I pressed. "You heard me." My little sister says. "Why does she think you're a whore?!" I wanted to know. "When we left Florida, she called Kaleb and told him that Jamal told her that I came onto him." Celeste explained. I was speechless at this point. "Are you serious?" I said. My sister nodded her head. "Deadass serious."
I've only met Kaleb's sister maybe once or twice. I never really got the chance to talk to her but I did think she was very pretty. She seemed kinda snotty. But after hearing what my sister just told me, though, I didn't need to know her on a personal level. Nor did I want to.
"And she just believed everything Jamal told her?" I said. Celeste laughed before taking a sip of her lemonade. "Of course she believed him." She says. "That's pathetic." I said, adding my two cents.
"Mommy!" My oldest, Leiani screams. I smiled while waiting to be greeted with the sweetest hugs by my favorite girls. "Hi, my babies!" I said. "How was lunch with Celeste, babe?" Jamari asked. I sighed. "Baby, don't even get me started." I said.
Family update: Leiani just turned 7. She was the sweetest little girl with the purest heart. I mean, how could a child be so perfect?! My little Lyla bug was 3 years old. She had an antisocial attitude like her mama, but like her big sister, also had the purest heart. Lyla was the coolest 3 year old at her daycare. My girls were the best!
"Uh oh... tell me the tea, baby." My husband says. I laughed while he took my purse. "I need to sit down, first." I said. I made my way to the living room. Leiani and Lyla went to play in their room. Jamari joined me on the couch and rubbed my growing belly.
I forgot to mention that Jamari and I were expecting our third child. Yes, I was 6 months pregnant with yet another baby girl. We were still a bit indecisive about a name for her so for now she was "Baby No Name". We were so excited.
I took my shoes off and Jamari gave me a foot rub. "So, how was lunch with your sister?" He questioned. "It was actually great! It went good." I said. "So, what's the tea then?" I laughed at him. "Why do you say that?" I asked. "I don't know, isn't that what the kids are saying these days?" He said. I couldn't help but laugh at him some more. "You're something else." I tell him.
I told Jamari about what happened with my sister when she was in Florida. "Are you serious, babe?" He says. I nodded my head. "Dead serious." I said. I took a sip from my water bottle. "That's disgusting. Is your sister okay?" Jamari says. "She says she's fine. And she does seem fine! I mean she's my sister, I would know when she isn't fine. So, I'm just gonna take her word for it. Ya know?" I said. My husband nodded his head. "I feel you, baby." He said. "Help me up, please." I said.
