Camilla

"I cannot with your little belly. Oh, my God you're adorable!" I tell Celeste. She smiles. "I'm so over being pregnant. I just want my baby here already!" She tells me. "I can imagine." I said, taking the lasagna out of the oven.
From what Celeste has been telling me, she was about 6 days past her due date and my nephew could be here any day now. Of course, I wanted to be there but because of work I couldn't. My life was hectic. That, and my mental health? Shitty.
Nya and I weren't as close as we used to be and that was scaring me. Don't get me wrong, I'm beyond happy that my best friend is happy. However, I barely see her these days. The crazy thing is that we live together. At least I thought we did.
"What's been going on with you? You zoning out again." Celeste says. I snapped out of my trance. "Huh?" I said. "Everything good?" Celeste said. I sighed. "Nya started dating this basketball player a few months back and they've been inseparable ever since. I don't see her anymore. Every time I plan something, she bails on me." I said. "Aw, man. I'm sorry." My baby sister says.
I was really missing my best friend. However, tonight was different. Nya promised she'd be home for dinner so that we could spend some time together. We were going to eat dinner, drink wine, and watch movies all night. I was excited.
"It's okay. Nya's making it up to me tonight." I said. "Ooh, what do y'all have planned?" Celeste asked. "Dinner, wine, and a movie. But at the crib." I explained. "You're cooking, I assume." My sister says. I laughed. "You know it!" I said. "Good cause you know that girl can't cook." Celeste says. I busted out laughing. "You ain't right!" I said. Celeste laughed as well. "It's the truth!" She said.
I was up waiting for Nya to get home. She said she would be home by 7:30 and it was almost 9:00. I was disappointed because she broke her promise. She never made a promise she couldn't keep. My best friend was changing right before my eyes.
Around 10:45, Nya came rushing into our apartment. I passed out on the couch. "I'm so sorry, Camilla. I was with Ty and we lost track of time." She says, making yet another excuse. I sighed, grabbed my phone and my blanket, and got up from the couch. "It's always something with you, Nya." I said, making my way to my bedroom.
That was true. It really was always an excuse with her. Since she started dating Ty, things have been different. I loved Ty, don't get me wrong. However, the closer she got to him,  the less time she and I spent together. She even started staying over his place more.
"Camilla, wait. I'm sorry! Let me make it up to you." Nya says. I looked at her with wet eyes. "You said that last time." I say. Before Nya could say anything, I went to my bedroom. I was over it.
The next morning, I woke up hella early. Nya wasn't a morning person and I was still incredibly mad at her. I knew she would still be asleep, so I took advantage of that. I had nothing to say to her at the moment.

Celeste

"He's perfect!" I cried. Kaleb bent down and kissed my forehead. "You did great, baby! I'm so proud of you." He tells me. We both stare at our newborn son in awe. "I love you!" I tell Kaleb. "I love you, more!" He says to me.
My beautiful baby boy was born March 16th, 2021. He came into this world at 6:13 am and weighed a healthy 6 pounds and 3 ounces. We named him Kaleb Jamari Johnson Jr., after his daddy of course. I was so in love already.
I was in the hospital with KJ for about 4 days. When my doctors told me we could go home, I was so happy. I hated hospitals. The food was nasty, and it smelt like mothballs. Thank God we were bringing my baby home, though.
"Where is my nephew?" Camilla says, after I answer the FaceTime call. "Wow, hello to you, too." I say, sarcastically. My big sister laughed. "I'm sorry, sis. How are you?" She said. I sighed. "I'm tired and I haven't showered since KJ's been born. But you know what? I'm just happy my baby is here." I said.
"Celeste? When's the last time you talked to Arianna?" My mother asked. I was in my bedroom, breastfeeding KJ. "She and I haven't talked since the day I found out I was pregnant." I said. My moms jaw dropped. "Are you serious? Why?" She pressed.
Arianna was my best friend. Heavy on the "was". We grew up together and I thought we'd be friends forever. But after I told her I was pregnant, she started acting funny and went ghost. Bitches be fake as hell.
"She started acting funny after I told her I was having a baby. She went ghost and literally a week later, I found out that she was dating my ex." I said. "Oh, wow. That's ridiculous." My mother says. I sighed and started rubbing my sons forehead. I still couldn't believe that I birthed another human being. I was somebody's mother now. Nothing else really mattered at this point.
"It's whatever. I've got more important things to worry about now. Why'd you ask, though?" I say. "I ran into her in the grocery store. She came up to me and hugged me and everything." My mom tells me. I laughed and rolled my eyes. "She's so fake." I said. "If I would've known y'all weren't friends anymore, I wouldn't have let her hug me." My mother says. I smiled. My mom was so loyal. I loved her for that.

Krystal

"I think it's time." I say, sitting on the couch next to Justin. "Time for what?" He questioned. I took a drink of my tea. "I think we should start planning our wedding." I said. Justin laughed at me. "Baby, we just got engaged. We have all the time in the world." He says to me.
It was a dark and gloomy Saturday in Jersey. It had been raining for 3 days straight. Today was finally my day off. Justin was also home, so I thought it would be the perfect day to spend some quality time with my babies. We decided to make cookies and watch movies all day.
"I know. But this is our second time being engaged. I wanna make it to the altar this time." I said. Justin leaned towards me and kissed me. "Aw, I know. We'll make it. I promise." He tells me. I smiled like a dummy. "Okay." I said.
