"Camilla Rose, do you not hear me talking to you?!" I said, clearly irritated. My best friend finally snaps out of her trance. "Huh? I'm sorry I was texting Damian." She says. I roll my eyes. "Of course you're texting Damian. When aren't you texting Damian?" I sassed. She laughed at me. "Don't hate!" She says.
It was Saturday, October 10th. Camilla and I were running errands together. I was the driver today because this girl couldn't put her phone down. Don't get me wrong, I loved that my best friend was happy. BUT, something about this Damian nigga rubbed me the wrong way. He was cute and seemed like Camilla's type. I just found him weird as hell. He's been around me like 4 or 5 times and he was always staring at me whenever Camilla wasn't in the room. Fucking weird!
Anyway, Camilla and I pulled up to Starbucks. The line was way too long so I went inside. I checked myself out in my phone camera. Not to sound conceited or anything, but I was a bad ass bitch. I had on my lil running errands outfit; a crop top, biker shorts, and a pair of sneakers. My hair was in a bun and I had these huge sunglasses on.
"Thank you!" I said, taking our drinks. Then, I walk out. As I'm walking out I hear somebody running after me. I turn around to see this fine ass man. He was tall and caramel skinned. Yummy.
"Excuse me, beautiful. You dropped this." He says, handing me my sunglasses. I smiled. "Thank you!" I said, taking my sunglasses. "You're welcome. What's your name?" He says. "I'm Nya. How about you?" I say. "Terrell. You look so familiar. I feel like I've seen you before." Terrell says. I stand there and think about it. "You actually look familiar, too. Do you have a sister or something?" I said. Terrell smiles. "I do have a sister. Her name is Ariana. But I also play pro basketball, too. So that's probably where you've seen me." He says. "I don't watch basketball. But I do know your sister. I do her hair." I said.
"What took you so long?" Camilla asked. I put my seatbelt on. "I just met Terrell Whyte." I said. "Terrell Whyte the nigga that plays for The Lakers? You cappin!" "I'm so deadass." I say. "Pictures or it didn't happen." Camilla says. "I didn't know who he was so I didn't ask for a picture. You know I don't watch basketball. He gave me his number instead." I said to her. My best friend sucked her teeth. "I don't believe you." She said. "I do his sisters hair. We gonna call him when we get home." I said.
Camilla and I were tired by the time we got home. We been to the nail salon, the mall, our eyebrow lady, and got our lashes done. The first thing I did was hop in the shower. I was in there for about 15 minutes.
As soon as I got out of the shower, Terrell texted me. He said, "hey beautiful 😍 you busy?" I smiled like a dummy and replied, "no not at all... just getting home why wassup?" I put on some clothes and put my hair in another bun. As soon as I got done, Terrell wanted to FaceTime. "Camilla! Terrell wants to FaceTime." I shouted from the living room. Camilla came running from the kitchen. "Answer it, cause I don't believe you." She says. I roll my eyes and answer the call.
"Hey, beautiful!" Terrell says. I grinned in satisfaction and looked at Camilla. "Hey, Terrell!" I said sweetly. My best friend was shocked. I could tell. "Aight, you got it." She says, walking away. I laughed. "What's funny over there?" Terrell asked. "Nah, my best friend didn't believe me when I told her that I met you." I said. Terrell laughed.
Terrell and I were on FaceTime for almost 3 hours. He ended up asking me out. We were going out to dinner over the weekend. I was so excited because I haven't been on a date in 2 years. That was my last relationship.

"You hungry?" Kaleb asked me. I nodded my head. "I'm always hungry." I said. My man laughed at me and started the car. "That's true. I don't even know why I ask at this point." He says. I laughed at him. "Be quiet." I sassed.
It was a beautiful and windy Friday afternoon. Kaleb picked me up from school and I was spending the night at his place. I was excited because Kaleb told me he had a surprise for me. I loved surprises and today was a long day so I definitely needed to relax.
I was now 4 months pregnant. My baby was the size of an apple and I was 16 weeks. Pretty soon, we would be able to find out the gender. We were excited. Kaleb started this new security job at The Prudential Center in Newark while I was attending classes at the community college. I felt awful because Kaleb also dropped out of school and immediately started working because we were expecting our first child. I was also working part time at a clothing store not too far from where I lived. So yeah, we were doing pretty good as of right now.
"Kaleb, I'm hungry." I complained. "I know, mama. I know." My man says. I sat there and pouted. I was hungry, pregnant, and aggravated. Kaleb had me blindfolded and I had no idea where we were. It was hot and it smelt like celery.
"You ready, babe?" Kaleb asked. "Kaleb, just take this blindfold off of me." I snapped. When he finally did take the blindfold off, I was speechless. In front of me was this romantic candlelit dinner in his backyard. "Surprise!" He says. I kissed him. "You did all of this for me?" I asked. "Of course I did! You carrying my seed. I had to show you how much I love and appreciate you." Kaleb tells me. I felt so bad for snapping at him.
I've been craving burgers and milkshakes for the past couple weeks. So, Kaleb took it upon himself to get us burgers and milkshakes for dinner. I really loved this boy with all my heart. He was so good to me.
