Celeste
*2 hours later*

"Celeste, are you okay?" My sister says, walking into the extra guest room. I sighed. "I'm fine." I tell her. She comes walking in and sits down on the bed next to me. "I'm so sorry." She said. I looked at her. KJ was asleep next to me. "For what? You did nothing wrong." I said to my sister.
I just found out that the man who raised me wasn't my father. Could you imagine? I didn't even know how to feel. I didn't know what to do. What do you do in this situation? I was stuck.
"I just feel like I should apologize. The way mommy talked to you and I should've did more.." Camilla says. "No,no,no. If anything I owe you an apology. This is your weekend. You're carrying my niece. You don't need this stress. I'm sorry. The last thing I wanted to do was ruin your weekend." I tell my sister. We hugged. "Oh, I love you so much, Celeste!" Camilla tells me. "I love you, too sissy!" I said.
"You okay, baby?" Kaleb asked me later that night. I sighed. It was midnight and I couldn't sleep. So, I was up reading. KJ was asleep next to me. "I'm fine. I just can't sleep. So much shit happened today. I mean, for God's sake my mother lied to me about who my father was for 20 years." I said. Kaleb sat up. "I know, baby. This shit sucks. I can only imagine how you feel right now. I'm sorry." He tells me.
This was one of the main reasons why I fell in love with Kaleb. He was so sweet and caring. This man was always here for me. He always knew what to say and when to say it. I was so blessed to have him. Thank God I married him.
The next morning, everyone was up early. It was the day of Camilla's baby shower. Camilla and Jamari didn't rent a hall. They wanted it to be simple but special. Not too over the top. So, they were having it at their house in the backyard. I mean I wasn't complaining. The house was ridiculously big and they had all this land. I love that for my sister.
Anyway, I hopped in the shower while Kaleb had KJ. Unlike my husband, I take really long showers which is why I prefer taking them in the morning. I don't know, it's just something about them morning showers. Ain't nothing like it.
As soon as I get out of the shower, I get this sudden urge to throw up. Luckily, I was still in the bathroom. I tied my hair in a bun and blew chunks in the toilet. "Baby, are you okay?" Kaleb says, running in the bathroom. He damn near tripped over the rug tryna get to me. I finished throwing up. Then, Kaleb helped me to my feet. "Where's KJ?" I asked. "Your sister came and took him. They're in the backyard." My husband tells me. "Oh okay." I said. "Seriously, baby. Are you good?" Kaleb says.
I've been through this before. I was definitely pregnant and I didn't need a test to prove it. I went through the exact same thing 3 years ago. My ass was pregnant and I knew it.
"Baby, are you sure you pregnant?" Kaleb asked. I nodded my head. "I know my body, Kaleb. I don't throw up unless I'm pregnant. The last time I threw up was when I was pregnant with KJ." I said. Kaleb sighed. "Aight. I still think we should buy a pregnancy test. Just to be sure." He tells me. I smiled while I finished my makeup.

Krystal

"You did so good, baby! Mommy and daddy are so proud of you!" I tell Ava, hugging her. "Thank you, mommy!" She says. Justin gives our daughter a bouquet of roses, lifts her off the ground, and kissed her cheek. "You did amazing, Princess!" He says. I smile and wipe Elian's mouth with a burp cloth.
It was a chilly February afternoon. Justin and I were proud parents. Today was Ava's very first ballet recital. A couple months ago, my baby girl told me she really wanted to do ballet so mommy and daddy made it happen. We were so happy that we did. Ava was so so good at it. Plus, she looked so cute in her little tutu and ballet flats. I wanted to cry tears of joy.
"Mommy, are you okay? You look like you're gonna cry." Ava says, interrupting my thoughts. I snapped out of it. Justin looked at me. "You good, babe?" He asked. I smiled and shook my head. "I'm fine. Mommy is just so proud of you, baby girl. You're growing up way too fast." I say, grabbing my child's chin. Ava smiled, her front tooth missing.
"What do you want for dinner, baby?" I asked Ava. "I can pick?" She says. We were all in the car by now. Elian and Ava in their car seats in the back, and mommy and daddy in the front. I loved my little family. I laughed. "Yeah, silly!" I said.
So, Ava decided that she wanted tacos for dinner. I had no problem making tacos because I had this bomb recipe my mom gave me. These weren't just regular tacos, though. These were Birria tacos. Like I said, bomb. This was my first time making these so I prayed that I didn't fuck it up.
"Babe, can you change Elian? He smells like a garbage truck." Justin says, handing me our 5 month old son. "Justin, I'm cooking! Can you change him?" I said. "Oh shit, my bad." He says, taking Elian back. I shook my head. I loved Justin so much. He just got on my nerves sometimes.
Justin, Ava and I were all sitting at the dinner table when the doorbell rang. Elian was sitting in his high chair looking cuter than ever. "I wonder who could be at the door. Babe, did you order anything?" Justin says, getting out of his seat. I shrugged. "Shit, maybe." I said. Ava laughed. I tickled my silly baby.
About 10 minutes later, Justin came back into the dining room with a big amazon box. "You know what? I think that is mine. I be losing track of how many packages I be getting." I said. "You must be stopped." Justin tells me. I cover my mouth to keep from laughing. "I'm sorry, babe!" I said.
Later that night, Justin and I were cuddled up in bed. Ava was in bed for the night. Elian was sleeping peacefully in his bassinet by our bed. We were watching a movie on Netflix and eating ramen. It wasn't the fake ramen either. There was this bomb ass restaurant not too far from our house. They sold real, authentic ramen. My fave.
The next morning, I woke up to knocking on our door. "Babe, can you go see who's at the door?" I said, rubbing my eyes. Whoever was at the door, must've been angry because they were banging mad hard for no reason. They woke up my baby. Justin quickly got out of our bed. I made my way over to Elian, who was crying in his bassinet.
"What's going on?" I asked, walking up behind my husband. There were 2 police officers at our door. "Ma'am, we were called because of a disturbance." One of them says. My heart sank. "What kind of disturbance?" I said, burping Elian. Ava was still sleeping. "There were some loud screaming coming from your neighbors next door." The officer tells us. Both Justin and I looked at each other. "Oh, my God Lauren." I said.
Lauren, her husband, Julian, and their 2 girls were such a nice little family. Well, Lauren and her children were. When Justin and I moved into this neighborhood a little over a year ago, Lauren and her family were the first to make us feel welcomed. This sweet lady made us homemade chocolate chip cookies. She was the perfect next door neighbor.
"Do you guys know the people who live there?" The officer asked me. "Yes! A married couple and their 2 daughters. Lauren and Julian Andrews. Lauren is about 6 or 7 months pregnant." I explained.
Lauren wasn't the problem. It was her husband, Julian. He was a monster. I haven't known their family for that long. But I knew evil when I saw it. And he was that. Lauren told me everything. He was verbally and physically abusive. It was awful seeing Lauren flinch whenever he came around.
The officer wrote things down on his notepad. "Okay, how long have you known Lauren and Julian?" He asked. We were now sitting in the kitchen with the officers. My baby Elian was asleep on my chest. "Umm, let's see. A little over a year. We moved into this neighborhood and they were the first family to make us feel welcomed." I said. The officer, who's name was Michael Carter, continued to take notes. "Okay, okay. So, the two of you became close I assume? Have you ever been to their house?" Officer Carter questioned. "Yes, several times actually. My daughter is the same age as their twin girls." I said.
I ended up talking to the officers for damn near 2 hours. They told us that Lauren and Julian got into an argument and Julian charged at Lauren. The officers also told us that she was okay. She was just staying at her sisters house. I spent all day worrying about Lauren. I mean, for God's sake the poor thing was 7 months pregnant.
