Krystal

"Babe, I'm home! Where y'all at?" Justin shouts. "We're in the bedroom!" I shout back. About 5 minutes later, my baby daddy pops his head in the doorway. "What y'all in here doing?" He asked. "Hi, daddy!" Ava said. I finished doing Ava's hair.
Justin and I decided to get back together 6 months ago and life has never been better. We were all happier than ever. Ava was happy to see her mommy and daddy in love and that's really all that mattered. I asked God to put my family back together and he did. I was beyond thankful.
"Hi, princess! What're you doing?" Justin says, lifting Ava off of the ground. I watched lovingly. Ava and Justin had such an unbreakable bond. Those two were really my everything. "Hey, baby." Justin says, interrupting my thoughts. "Hi, babe. How was work?" I said, kissing my man. "Great. You'll never guess who came in today." I shrugged, knowing he was about to tell me. "Who?" I said. "Fucking A. Boogie." Justin says. "For real?" I say.
Later that night, I had already put Ava to bed. After I put her in bed, I went to the kitchen to clean it up. As I was wiping down the counter, Justin joined me in the kitchen. He sat in front of me and stared. "What?" I giggled. "When were you gonna tell me you were pregnant?" He asked. My heart dropped. "What you mean?" I said, tryna play it off. Justin sucks his teeth. "I was born at night, but not last night." He said.
It was true. I had just found out that I was pregnant a few weeks ago. It wasn't like I was hiding it from Justin, though. I was just waiting for the right time to tell him. I wanted to surprise him. Well, that was down the drain now.
"Baby, I found the pregnancy test in the trash." Justin says to me. I sat there, mentally kicking myself. How could I not take the trash out? I'm such a dumb ass. Really Krystal?
"I was gonna tell you." I said. "So why didn't you tell me?" Justin asked. "I wanted to wait." I tell him. "Wait until when?" "Until our anniversary next week. I wanted to surprise you." I say. The room fell silent.
Next week was our anniversary. We have really been together for 12 years. I mean, we took a year break but that doesn't matter. I still wanted to celebrate. It was important to me.
Justin sighed. "Really, baby? I'm sorry. I feel like such an asshole now." He tells me. Then, he grabbed my waist and pulled me close to him. I grab his face with both hands and kiss his nose. "It's okay. I was so excited I probably wouldn't have waited that long anyway."  I said. We both laughed together. "I love you, mami." Justin tells me. "I love you, more." I said to him.
"What's the matter with you? You look like you just saw a ghost. You okay, sis?" My sister Genesis says. I take a sip of my lemonade. "I feel like Justin is gonna propose next week." I confessed. "I'm confused. Isn't that what you want?" She said. "Of course I want him to propose!" I say.
My sister Genesis and I were enjoying a cute little outdoor meal in the park. We took Ava with us while Justin was at work. I was so proud of him. He's been working and bringing home money nonstop. Ever since I told him I wanted to move out of our 2 bedroom apartment, he's been saving and hustling. I loved him.
"Help Titi up, babe! She got a baby in her belly." I say to Ava. "Okay, mommy!" Ava says. I watch as she grabs Genesis' hands and pulls with all of her strength. "Thank you so much, mama! Your baby cousin is already so lucky to have you." Genesis tells my child. That made me smile so much.
I wanted nothing more than to finally marry Justin. He was the love of my life no doubt. I'm not the same Krystal that I was more than 6 months ago. I've really changed for the better and I think Justin could see that. I just don't wanna fuck things up.
"So, are you gonna say yes if he does propose?" My sister asked. I grabbed Ava's hand while we walked to the car. "Duh! I'd be stupid if I said no." I said. Genesis laughed. "Then what's the issue? You both love each other. You've changed. A lot, might I add." She says. I strap Ava into her car seat. "I just don't want anything to get in the way of our relationship. We're finally happy." I said. "Then don't let anything get in the way of y'alls relationship. If you really wanna make it work this time around, don't let anybody get in your way." Genesis says.

Camilla

"Hello?" I say, getting into my car. "Camilla, come get your sister before I hurt her feelings!" My mother says. "Woah, what's going on?" I said. I put my handbag in the passenger seat. "Her attitude is off the chain and I can't take it anymore." My mother tells me.
It was a sunny Thursday afternoon in California. I was leaving my lash appointment. Normally, Nya and I would get our lashes done together. But now she got a nigga and she acting brand new. Love that for her, though.
"I mean, she is pregnant. Maybe it's the hormones? You would understand more than anything, considering you've done this twice." I said. My mother sighed. "I guess you're right. Lord, give me the strength." She says. I laughed. "2 more months, mama. You got this!" I said. "If she wasn't carrying my grandchild, I swear I'd drop kick this girl." My mother tells me. "It'll all be worth it once your grandson gets here!" I assure her. "You're right. Let me go apologize to her, chile. I did eat her potato salad." I gasp. "Mommy, why did you eat her potato salad?! You know she puts a sticky note on all of her leftovers." I said. "I know. I gotta make her some more." "Alright. I have to get home. I'll talk to you soon." I say. "Okay, I'll call you later. I love you." My mother tells me. "I love you, too mama. Bye bye." I say, before hanging up the phone.

Celeste

"Hey, baby!" I said, greeting Kaleb with a kiss. "Hey, my sexy mama. How was class?" He says. I sighed as I was being helped into the car by my man. "I am so tired and my feet hurt. Class was good, though." I said. "Aww, my poor baby. It's all good. When we get home, Ima rub ya feet." Kaleb says to me.
It was a cold Thursday afternoon and Kaleb was picking me up from school, like he usually does. He told me we were going home and that he had a surprise for me. I swear this boy always got something up his sleeve. It's something new everyday.
"Baby, I really want you to know how much I appreciate you." I tell my man. We were now home. Kaleb was not only rubbing my feet, but he was also giving me an at home pedicure. My feet were so chunky and swollen, I was almost embarrassed. That was why I wore socks most of my pregnancy. I was ashamed. However, once my son got here all the pain and suffering would be worth it.
"You tell me everyday, mama. I know you appreciate me. But you the love of my life. And you carrying my child. So I gotta show you how much you mean to me." Kaleb says to me. "You love making me cry!" I said, wiping my eyes. Chile, these pregnancy hormones are ruthless. "I have something to ask you, though." Kaleb said. "Yes?" I say sweetly. I watched as my baby reached into his pocket. There was absolutely no way I could've prepared for what happened next. "Celeste Isabella, will you marry me?" Kaleb says out of the blue. "I... I... yes!" I said to him. We hugged and kissed. All I could really do in that moment was cry.
