~ 7 Months Later ~
"Hello?" I say, climbing into my brand new white Lamborghini truck. "Hey, baby. What you doing?" Jamari says. I smile from ear to ear. "Hi, honey! I'm leaving my nail appointment. What you up to?" I said. I put my Dior handbag in the passenger seat and out on my seatbelt.
Things have been going pretty good for me at the moment. Jamari and I have been together 7 months now and I can honestly say that I was the happiest I've ever been. I was thriving in my career as a model and influencer, making more money than I had ever made in life. Nya and I still lived together but she was in the process of getting a place with Ty. I was one step closer to buying my dream house. Life was just great as of right now. For everybody.
"Im chilling. I miss you. I wanted to come take you out." Jamari says to me. I blushed. This man has been making me blush all 7 months. It was unbelievable. He was incredibly sweet.
Jamari was also a basketball player, like his cousin. He played on the same team as Ty. On our third date, Ty told me that he and Ty weren't blood cousins. However, they grew up together and Ty's mother raised the both of them. They were almost like brothers.
"Aw, I miss you too! I should be home in about 20 minutes, okay?" I said. "I don't think I can wait that long, mama. I miss you too much!" Jamari says. I sigh and playfully roll my eyes. "You are such a big baby." I tell him. "I'm your big baby." He says. I blushed like a teenage girl. "Okay, I'll try to make it home in 10." I said. "Sounds good. Get home safe, though. Don't be speeding. You know you drive crazy." Jamari teased. I laughed as I got to a red light. "Oh, shut up! My driving ain't even that bad." I said. I could hear Jamari laugh on the other end of the phone. "I'm just fucking with you, baby. But for real, get home safe, aight?" He says. I smiled. "I will." I said. "I love you and I'll see you in a little bit." "I love you, too." I say, before hanging up.Nya
"Babe, can you please come in the kitchen for a minute? I have to tell you something." I shouted. I nervously toyed with the charm bracelet Ty gave me. About 10 minutes later, my man came into the kitchen looking fine as ever. "Wassup, mama?" He says.
So Ty and I have officially been together for a year. Our anniversary was a few months ago and we couldn't be any happier. I was a little hard headed at times and I knew that. However, Ty understood me. He never judged me. He loved me no matter what.
I take a deep breath. "I'm pregnant." I tell Ty. His mouth hung to the floor. "You deadass?" He says, after being silent for about 5 minutes. I nodded my head. "Deadass." I said.
Yes, I was pregnant. I had only found out a few days ago. At first, I cried because I was scared. I had so many questions. Like, what if I wasn't a good mother? What if my child didn't like me? The list goes on.
Ty smiles at me and kissed my forehead. Then, he gives me a hug. "I'm so happy, baby!" He tells me. I let out a sigh of relief. "Really?" I said. He nodded. "Of course! Aren't you happy?" Ty says. I smiled. "Yeah, of course!" I said.
The truth was this. I was happy to be a mom. But I was also scared as fuck. I had absolutely no idea what to expect. What was going to happen once the baby got here? How was my life going to change?
"Ny, what're you doing out here? I been looking for you." Ty says, joining me on the balcony. I turn around to face my man. "You okay, baby? You look like you been crying." "I'm okay. Just scared." I admit. "Scared of what? What happened?" Ty pressed. Ty sits down and pulls me into his lap. "I'm scared of being a bad mom." I said. This was my first time admitting it out loud.
Ty hugged me. "Baby, listen. You are not gonna be a bad mom." He tells me. "How do you know that? I've never done this before. What if I suck at it? What if the baby grows up hating me?" I said. "I know you're going to be a great mother because of how you are with your niece. The way she loves you. The bond that y'all have." My man says to me.
I sat there and thought about my niece for a second. That little girl was my everything. Ava was my best friend. She was the reason I went so hard. She gave me so much purpose.
I smiled while allowing Ty to wipe my tears. "You're right, baby. Thank you." I said. He grabbed my chin and pulled me in for a kiss. "Of course! I'm here for you and I'll support you no matter what." My man tells me. "I love you." I say. "I love you more, mama."Celeste
"Oh, my goodness look at how cute these pictures came out!" I tell Kaleb. He paused his game to take a look. Then, he laughed. "That's my boy!" He says. I take the pictures back and neatly put them in a pile. "My baby so handsome!" I said.
Kaleb and I were in our living room, chilling. He was playing his game and I was folding laundry. Our son was asleep in his pack and play. KJ turned 10 months old this week so we decided to celebrate by setting up a photo shoot for him.
"Kaleb?" I said. "Wassup, babe?" He says. I lay my head on his shoulder. "I want another baby." I tell him. My fiancé pauses his game yet again. "Chill. KJ ain't even a year old." He said. I busted out laughing. "I know. I just wanted to see what you would say." I said. "I mean, shit we can always practice." Kaleb says.
Kaleb and I were living our best lives. We had a beautiful, healthy, and happy baby boy. I finally moved out of my mothers house. We were able to move into this beautiful 3 bedroom condo. Kaleb was working crazy hours but he still made time for KJ and I. I continued going to school after giving birth to our son while working at the bookstore on the side. I was so proud of us.
