"I think I have a food baby." I moan out as I rub my stomach. Dean looks at me with a raised brow.
"I told you that your stomach was gonna hurt when you ordered eggs, pancakes, sausage, and hash browns, didn't I?"
"Yeah, dad." I drag, rolling my eyes.
"I still can't believe you ate all of it." He smirks at me.
"Women have big appetites too you know." I defend. He shakes his head looking down at the newspaper again. I watch him circle a picture of a woman multiple times.
"I hope you're circling another potential case, and not just because she's pretty." I narrow my eyes.
"No ones prettier than you, sweetcheeks." He winks at me. I reach over and smack him upside the head.
"Ow!" He hisses, glaring at me.
"Let me see that." I snatch the newspaper away from him.
"You should try saying please once in a while." Dean says flatly.
"Yeah, um, I don't beg." I smile falsely.
"Mhm." He smirks
"No, no, no, we are not going there." I shake my head and chuckle nervously, pointing at where he circled.
"Why?"
"Because."
"That's not really detailed enough for me." He says sarcastically, even emphasizing with his hands that are resting on the table. I glare at him.
"Can I get you anything else?" We both look up and I immediately roll my eyes. Wendy, our waitress, was putting her boobs on display for Dean as she leans over the counter slightly. That's the sixth time now that she has come up to us.
"Just the check, please." Sam says, coming back from the bathroom, and sitting down on the other side of Dean.
"Okay." She smiles widely, staring at Dean a little longer before finally leaving. Dean groans softly, lowering his head for a second before looking at Sam.
"You know, Sam, we are allowed to have fun once in a while." Dean turns his head back to Wendy and points at her.
"That's fun."
"Hey! I'm fun!" I defend.
"Yeah, funny looking."
"That's not what you said a minute ago." I say in a sing-song voice. He rolls his eyes at me.
"Here, take a look at this. I think I got one." Dean snatches the newspaper out of my hand and hands it to Sam.
"Watch it! You could've given me a paper cut." I grumble out with a pout.
"Lake Manitoc, Wisconsin... Last week, Sophie Carlton, 18, walks into the lake, doesn't walk out. Authorities dragged the water... nothing."
"Could just be a drowning." I shrug. Dean shakes his head.
"Sophie Carlton is the third Lake Manitoc drowning this year. None of the other bodies were found, either. They had a funeral two days ago." Sam looks up from the newspaper with furrowed brows.
"A funeral?"
"Yeah, it's weird. They buried an empty coffin, for um, closure or whatever." Dean looks down to his notepad, about to write something down.
