Bill Carlton was in the same spot as the day before, it almost seemed like he never left. I cautiously step onto the dock, standing on Sam's right side, near the edge of the dock. I take a deep breath and walk confidently with them.

"Mr. Carlton?" Sam tries to get his attention when we walk up to him. Bill spares us a glance before looking away. "We'd like to ask you a few questions, if you don't mind."

I look down at the water, watching it swish back and forth against the dock. My stomach churned with nerves and I felt like I was gonna vomit on Sam's shoes. I feel like he wouldn't appreciate that so I roll my lips into my mouth.

I think about the possibility of me losing my balance and falling into the water and I swiftly step between Sam and Dean, away from the edge.

"We're from the department-"

"I don't care who you're with. I've answered enough questions today." I narrow my eyes slightly at him.

"Your son said he saw something out in that lake take his sister. Did you ever see anything out there?" I try asking him but he ignores me.

"Mr. Carlton, Sophie's drowning and Will's death...we might think there's a connection. To you or your family." Sam tells him.

"My children are gone. It's..." he pauses.

"It's worse than dying." He looks towards us again. His eyes appear dull, like the life has been drained out of them. He looks so tired and truly broken up about what happened to his kids.

"Go away...please." He looks away from us. I nod my head in understanding.

"Alright, Mr. Carlton. You take care of yourself." We turn around and walk back towards the dock. I wobble slightly, and grab Sam's arm quickly when I hear the dock creek at one point.

"What's your deal?" Dean asks. Sam just looks at me with concern.

"Nothing." I mutter, letting go of Sam. Dean pulls me over to his other side by the edge again and pushes us slightly closer towards itself. I cling to him immediately.

"Don't even think about it, Winchester!" I hiss out in a whisper, looking at him with wide eyes. He smirks, pulling me away from the edge.

"That's what I thought." He says almost triumphantly.

"Bully." I glare at him, walking ahead of them. They follow close behind.

"So tell me, Jenny. How's a hunter afraid of water?" Dean taunts.

"It's none of your damn business."

"Oh, but I'd really like to know." He says with humor in his voice. I turn towards him sharply.

"It's a long story." I grit out between my teeth. He was really starting to piss me off.

"Did I hit a nerve?" Dean smirks. I ball up my first, ready to punch him in his perfect face.

"The temptation to punch you in your perfect face is very strong right now, Dean. So don't push it."

"You think my face is perfect?" He teases and it only angers me more.

"Guys, not right now, alright? We have to figure out this case." Sam sighs. I scoff, turn back around, and walk towards the Impala.

"Well, what do you think then, Sam. Bill didn't tell us much information." I say with sass.

"Well I for one, think the poor guy's been through hell. I also think he's not telling us something." I look back towards Dean over my shoulder.
