[A/N] I'm SO sorry for such a long hiatus. I honestly don't have any excuse except that I had a really rough time trying to figure out the pacing of the trial. My motivation kind of wavered a bit, but at least I got this part done. Hopefully, I don't have any more hiccups, but I super appreciate you all being patient with me and sticking with it. Thank you, my lovelies! Also, brief rant. WHY doesn't Wattpad let us shrink or increase font size? I mean, we can bold and italicize, why not adjust font? There's a line I REALLY wish I could've made super small ;-; Okay I'm done, sorry.

Wakumi

"I feel as though we should all take turns sharing what information we gathered. Perhaps, if we do so, we may put together pieces of the puzzle based on input from multiple groups. Maybe even eliminate some false leads," Azumi suggests, contortin' her arms behind 'er back. It looks like somethin' we'd do ta capture 'n hurt people, but she's doin' it o' her own volition.

"Wouldn't it be quicker just ta try 'n figure out what the scurvy dog was killed with?" I offer up, crossin' one leg o'er the other.

"No, I think Azumi's probably right. There are so many questions going on surrounding this case, and frankly, I feel out of the loop. An update would be nice," Ren shrugs.

"Alright. Then Wakumi and I can start, since we only found one thing, and it was by accident," Gou beckons.

"Aye. If I'm bein' blunt—"

"You always are," Joanie interrupts.

"I'll feed ye ta the fish, Ginny, I swear ta ye," I warn before continuin'. "If I'm bein' BLUNT," I spit out the words with a bit more spite, "I wasn't expectin' us ta find anything at all, but we found suspicious-lookin' pill bottles. The labels've been scratched clean off."

Haruto gives a grimace, lookin' paler than the ghost o' Davy Jones. "C-Could I see those real quick?"

"Aye." I throw the bottles one after the other, 'n they both whack 'im in the head. "Yer reaction time is not good, laddie!" I marvel.

"Wakumi!" Azumi hisses, rubbin' 'is head. He pops off the lids real easily.

"Ah, crap. Sorry for worrying you guys. These are mine. The green ones, that is. I always take the label off my pill bottles so I can easily find which ones are mine," he explains.

"Well, what are they?" Kana asks. Monterio pinches 'er arm. "Ow. Was that question too sensitive?"

"No worries. It's Ritalin. Some of the side effects match up, like stomach discomfort and difficulty falling asleep, but it wouldn't do anything super drastic like rashes or swelling."

Tozen quirks an eyebrow and softly mutters, "You take a stimu—?"

"So what's the other bottle?" Yuu asks instantly.

"I dunno. I probably accidentally tore off the wrong label on one of these. Sorry again!"

"What do we have next?" Sayuri asks.

"Probably our stuff, right?" Joanie recommends.

"Yeah, Ginny, spill it!" I heckle in retaliation fer earlier.

"Azumi, Sayuri, and I searched his bedroom," she starts, flippin' me the bird, "and we found a few things of relevance. First, he wrote up some background information on each of us— don't worry, we didn't read any except for a small fraction of Azumi's. Second, medical papers diagnosing him with congenital hyposmia. Essentially, he's always had a limited sense of smell."

"Oh! He told us that during the Guy's Night! Or I guess it's more like we pressured him to admit it," Chimon declares.

"Let's keep that in mind, okay? What else did you girls find?" Monterio guides.
