her eyes fluttered open, the harsh UV lights making it hard to adjust to her surroundings. the sun outside was dwindling from the late hours of the day and the camp lay quiet as the army had marched and was now on they're way to the mountain.my eyes felt heavy as i brought my hands up to wipe the sleep away. sitting up in the make-do bed, the sheets around me fell to my waist and i looked around the still brightly lit medical room. patient's were sleeping and there was no doctors. i guess it's time. swinging my legs off of the side of the bed, my feet hitting the cold floor sending a shiver up my spine.
it was weird hearing slim to no noise in the halls of the ark but i guess its just how it is. standing up and stretching out my limbs before grabbing my jacket and putting it on. despite it not being that cold outside i knew it couldn't hurt to bring a jacket in case.
you know why your bringing it.
grabbing the shaggy note book that had fallen off of the bed and on to the floor, i put it in the inside pocket of my jacket, i shoved my feet into the cold material of my boots and after tying the laces i headed for the door, leaving medical and navigating my way through the halls of the ark.
i had a plan, not a very good one but it was still a plan. i had a bad feeling about they're attack and i couldn't sit here in Arcadia and wait for them to return, if there was even anyone to make it back. shaking that though from my head i continued my path through the ark until i saw the dull lighting from outside. the sun had barley set but the air was fresh and nicer to breath in compared to the stuffy air in the ark. my feet hit the dirt outside of the exit to the ark and i started making my way around the side of the ark knowing damn well the guards wouldn't think twice about calling Abby to take me back to medical.
there was a slight breeze but otherwise the weather was kind of nice. it was going to take me a while to get to the mountain, apparently an 8 hour trek, that's what i heard clarke say anyway. that was one of the faults in my plan, it was risky but i was angry, scarred, worried? my friends were fighting a war and i was told to stay back. you didn't have to be a genius to figure out that i was upset about what lexa said, i understood but that didn't mean i was going to listen.
i was standing right in front of the electric fence. stage 1. escape Arcadia. closing my eyes tightly and focusing, i had to try and teleport, sure it was another fault because i haven't really used it and using my powers usually drains my energy but it was the fastest way for me to get to the mountain. it felt weird. i opened my eyes seeing i was now on the other side of the fence. nodding to myself i started walking to the tree line.
bushes brush past me as i use my arms to push them out of the way. it was slowly getting darker which meant i had to move faster. the further i got while i could see meant i had to teleport less. once it was dark i would surly loose my path.
i could feel my ears ringing but i cant let that stop me. i didn't know how close i was to the mountain but i knew i couldn't be that far, maybe 4-5 hours? it was now fully dark in the forest and i knew i didn't have much time, my whole plan relies on timing. stopping my footsteps and clenching my muscles. my eyes scrunched shut tightly as i put as much focus as i could into teleporting.
it felt like nothing happened and i peeked my eyes open and what i saw defiantly took me off guard. a mountain man with a grounder sword, coming straight at me. doing a quick scan of my surroundings my eyes widen in shock. swords clashed with swords and bullets clashes with body's. i was stood in the middle of a battle outside the mountain. body's littered the ground as the soil was stained a dark colour that i could only guess was blood.
ducking down as the sword held tightly in the soldiers hand swung near where my head would've been. i launched myself up into his abdomen making him buckle over and for me to land on top of him. swinging a few punches at his face until it was disfigured. my eyes were starring directly into his and fear was basically radiating off of him. i reached down and grabbed his sword, bringing it up and then stabbing it into his gut. his eyes were wide as the life in them disappeared and crimson blood trickled down his lips.
standing up i felt a tight pull in my stomach and i grimaced knowing it was the half heeled wound from tonDc. the battle around me didn't cease as men in hazmat suits fired bullets. the big vault like door was wide open and the battle continued further and further throughout the mountain. the sounds of fighting echoing throughout the halls and out into the open.
marchig through the endless battle crys and metal colliding i made it to the door and i didn't falter as i walked straight through.
i knew what i had to do and the only thing that was going to be able to stop me was death itself.
short chapter i guess. sorry that the last few chapters have been kinda short but i hope you enjoyed it i guess.
