*ringing*

"B, we have to get rid of it!" he yelled as the lady in a lad coat started packing up a small metal case. "no, i don't have to do anything!. I'm in charge, i make the calls, this is my ship" she barked "well, you're not in charge when we dock!, they'll float you" the man with light brown hair was yelling but quiet on the last part. "ohh, i'd like to see them try" she said with a raised brow and a tiny smirk. "don't worry Marven. we'll dock, you'll be safe and i have my own plan because god be dammed I'm not staying in space for 100 years" she said while zipping up her orange suit. "what are you gonna do, you cant just leave Elma in fate of the gift" he said disbelievingly. "i'm not, i injected it, i gave birth, i did my part. it will be the chosen's fate in dealing with the gift and neither of us will be around to see it so i'd say I'VE DONE MY PART" she yelled the last part and Marven checked one of the side affects of having the serum injected:violence. "you're already having symptoms B, how will the chosen react when they have it and have no idea how to control it or where it came from?" Marven said pacing after her as she went to the control room. "give them this, give this to Elma. there is a letter going down for each generation, explaining how to succeed the chosen, its simple enough."

the ship started to shake.

"whats happening?" she yelled "they've started, we're docking" Marven yelled out over the intercom before someone else came over yelling out directions to the passengers.

*boom*

"is it over?"

*gasp*

shooting up, well at least trying too, i was already up. chained to the wall. 'what the fuck'. i started rattling the chains, the clanging of metal against metal filled the air and no matter how much it hurt my head i didn't stop, an overwhelming amount of anger took over and i couldn't stop myself. "hey! hey!" someone yelled and i heard keys ringing before the satisfying click of the lock popping open. although this wasnt good, "get out!' they didn't listen and only came closer. "it's alright, you're safe" they said soothingly and placed their hands over my cheeks, stopping my thrashing and forcing me to look at into their eyes. opening my eyes, and waiting for the hot anger to disappear from my sight. i nested my head in their hands and i felt them start to do meaningless patterns on my cheeks.

looking closer i saw green, green forest eyes that were impossible to forget. scanning the rest of their face i recognised them as lexa. scanning the rest of her face i noticed her furrowed brows, the pout on her lips, the creases on her forehead, when you look at her you recognise everything, it's impossible not too. "that's it, calm down" she whispered and i found it confusing yet reassuring that she could calm me down so quickly, how she knew exactly what to do even when i never did.

the more i focused the calmer i became and the more i realised that they weren't meaningless patterns she was tracing, going in a loop but before it could make the other half it would switch and complete a new lop before coming back to finish the other, an infinity symbol. she obviously seem to know what she was doing and started whispering reassuring words in trigedasleng that i didn't really understand but they were soothing. for all i know she could be saying to kill myself but i didn't care, the tone of her voice is everything and all i need right know in order not to melt down the metal tincan we survived in for 97 years. opening her eyes i noticed that she was no longer looking at me face but down ward. following her line of sight saw she was looking at my necklace-the dogtag- sliding one hand off of my cheek while the other completed soothing motions on my other cheek. she brought her free hand down and gently picked up the small piece of metal and stared searching it with her eyes.

her mouth went slightly agape and it had me confused. "the passphrase" she mumbled. "the sacred symbol" her eyes darted back up to mine and she started searching them for an answer that i didn't even know the question for. "where did you get this?" she asked quietly, as if she spoke any louder she would break whatever was going through her mind. 'how do i answer that?' i didnt even know what any of that meant yet it all seemed so natural for my ears. i shrugged slightly and went for the basic answer 'in a box with my name on it'. her brows furrowed and she seemed deep in thought while mumbling incoherent words and a mumbled 'the chosen' and then 'the sky'. she shakes her head and stands from her crouched position and heads for the hook outside where the key for my chains are.
