Y/n POV

Everyone around camp was either panicking, loading and making more ammo  or packing extra things away that didn't need to be outside when the war started. It had been about 4 hours since me and Murphy got back from the grounder camp and we were all getting ready for the fight whether that be sharpening knifes/spears or loading guns. We figured that eventually we would run out of ammo so raven came up with the genius idea to make Grenades out of the extra materials from her escape pod and now we had our backup reinforcement in case they came to far into the camp.

With everyone up and around camp getting ready for the war it felt like those neves you got when you either had a big test tomorrow or public speaking and you have stage fright but either which one I hated the feeling.
"(Y/n)!" I heard someone yell and turned to see Clarke so I started making my way over to her. "Have you got everything ready? Is everyone in their place? Is-" she started rambling on and on so I placed a hand gripping firmly on her upper arm and gave her a nod "are-" she went to something else but someone else caught my attention "Oi, (y/n)!" Raven called me over and I gave another reassuring nod to Clarke before jogging over to raven.

"Hey, (y/n), I need you to take these, but! Only use them if you know it's your only option" she spoke while handing me two grenades and I nodded "you know how to use these right?" She asked and I nodded giving her a 'really' look and she chuckled "okay, don't go dying out there" she said jokingly but there was also seriousness about it and I nodded giving her a salute causing her to chuckle again.

"Okay, everyone!" I heard bellamy's loud voice boom over the camp "the grounders will be here soon, get to your posts, shoot to kill!" He yelled out and everyone nodded and started heading to their posts. I was guarding the back that's why raven gave me grenades incase  they had a backup plan to surprise us from the back.

I could hear faint drums booming through the forest and my nerves started to build and  the thought that this was really happening was finally setting in.

"GROUNDERS!" I heard jasper shout and a couple of rounds of gunfire went off "STOP!, stop!" I heard someone from the radio (yeah just go with it, apparently raven already made radios) "why what's wrong?" I heard Bellamy "their not attacking, there just drawing out our ammo so we won't have any left, don't shoot until we know for sure that their attacking!" I think it was Harper but I wasn't sure "he's right" I heard Miller reply "alright, all gunners stand down until we're sure that their attacking" after Bellamy made that order there was a bunch of answers of conformation.

We had been waiting for at least 10 minutes and the grounders had been running around the outside the camp distracting us and making us turn our heads left right and centre.
There was a commotion above causing everyone to look up and I heard a bunch of gasps from people on post close by. "What is that?" "Is it from the ark?" "It is... The ark!" I heard a bunch of people saying into the radio. And talk about timing, 'could I make it there and back and get reinforcements?'" I asked myself and I was having a debate about whether I should leave for the ark and get help or stick where I am now, I chose the first option.

I jumped from my post and started sprinting towards where I saw the ark crash, I think it was mecha station. I had been running for about 7 minutes when I started to hear grenades and land mines go off and stopped and looked back and forth between the way the ark was and the camp debating yet again if I should head back before it was to late, and before I knew it I was running full speed ahead towards to drop ship camp.

I arrived in time just to see the grounders closing in on the drop ship and the door to lift closed but not before Anya jumped into the gap.

The grounder army was banging on the walls of the drop ship and some were climbing. I had two options 1).I could let everyone I care about die, 2). I could use my powers and do something. Obviously I chose the later option and I was focusing all my attention at tensing everywhere, I felt heat all around me, oranges, red, yellows. I heard screams in pain and agony, the sizzling feeling of the fire around me and the sizzling sound of people burning around me. I fell to my knees and open my eyes seeing everything burnt to the crisp around me and in no time did the drop ship door open and I saw Clarke and Jasper step onto the door that now lays flat against the ground.

I still felt heat radiating off of me and I could vaguely see orange light coming from my arms through my dizzy eyes. I saw Clarke see me and look around in shock seeing all the surrounding trees and plants blackened and burnt along with the hundreds of burnt grounder body's and the sight around me made me feel sick to my stomach and the last thing I saw was people coming through the bushes beyond the burnt ones and red smoke that I was 70% sure wasn't mine.

Clarke's POV

The grounders were all closing in on us, all the guns were out of ammo, the grenades had been used and now our last use of defence was the drop ship.

"EVERYONE IN THE DROPSHIP, NOW!!" I yelled out and people started rushing towards it, abandoning their weapons and other brining them with them.

I was standing near the lever ready to pull it and shut the door when I saw a grounder rush at Bellamy and nock him down "Bellamy!" I yelled out to him and he glanced at me "close the door!" He yelled over the battle cry's, the sound of metal scraping metal and screams of pain. In my preferable vision I saw Finn sprinting towards Bellamy on the ground and he smashed the butt of his Gun down on the grounders head causing the ground to fall to the side and that the last I saw of the before I pulled the lever shut but before the door could fully close someone leaped through the gap in the door and hope spiked that it might be either Bellamy or Finn but that soon vanished when I saw it was Anya. A bunch of the kids who were still armed charged at her and started kicking and punching her "stop!"
I called out "why she's the enemy!" Miller called out before adding "we should just kill her!" "No, she's alone!" I yelled back not having any of this "why not I could probably take you all on" Anya said challenged "not happening" and that sing along the end of the discussion before everyone sat down and a few of the delinquents glaring at Anya as they sat on the metal floor.

Everyone in the dropship could hear the grounder army on the other side of the metal walls that were keeping us safe but everyone was still on edge and I don't blame them.

I heard screams, sizzling and swoosh sounds before nearly everything fell quiet. "What happened!" I heard Anya say confused "your guess is as could as ours" I said back to her, "Clarke, open the door" I heard jasper say "they could still be out there" "I doubt they would leave without her" he called back and I nodded while Anya had a smug smile on her face.

I stood up and walked over to the lever "here goes everything" I mumble before I hear the airlock hiss open and the door slowly descended down and me and jasper walked to the curtain, opening it and the sight I saw shocked me but even that was an understatement.

Everything was burnt black and coal, smoke arising from all around but the thing that surprised me the most was seeing (y/n) in the middle of all the burnt grounder body's on her knees and on fire but it didn't last long as she collapsed and I saw people in hazmat suits coming from the barley green bushes behind the burnt trees and by that time nearly everyone had stepped out of the dropship, all having the same reaction. The men in hazmat suits started throwing grenade type looking things that red smoke started coming from "mountain men!" I heard Anya yell and everyone started to sway before collapsing on the ground from breathing in the smoke.

I know it's kind short but I'm tired so I hope you enjoy this chapter, thanks for reading.
