octavia pov
after Clarke nodded i felt someone yank me aside by the arm "octavia, what do you think your doing" bellamy said and i rolled my eyes "going for a walk" i stated "no, its to dangerous" he said "i don't care bell, iv been locked up all my life i need to do something crazy just because i can! and no one including you can stope me" i pointed at his chest "and besides iv got (y/n) she'll keep me safe" he huffed and nodded slightly "okay, just stay safe" he said "thanks big brother" i said ad hugged him and kissed him on the cheek and all but waltzed toward to the rest of the group.
"we ready?" Clarke questioned and the rest of us just started walking towards where mount weather is located.
about half and hour into walking we came across a little valley type thing of pretty purple flowers and Finn picked one and put it behind my ear "its really pretty" i said and blushed slightly and i heard jasper say "that my friend is game" "that my friend is poison sumac" Monty said "ahh" i said and flicked it out of my hair "its not actually poisons its medicinal, quite calming actually" Monty said and ate a flower "can you guys hurry up already" i heard Clarke from the front "come on Clarke! how can you just block this out" Finn complained "well its simple, i wonder why haven't seen any animals yet, maybe its because there arm none and maybe we've already been exposed to enough radiation to kill us, it sure is pretty though" she finished "damn someone should slip her some poison sumac" i mumbled and the others chuckled and we all kept walking.
about an hour later we were all just waling in silence. we were walking behind (y/n) who was looking around cautiously above us while next to me jasper and Monty were talking quite loudly and joking around and Clarke and Finn were walking silently slightly in front of us "why send us down now, after 97 years? did something change?" jasper said "maybe they found something on a satellite! lik-"Monty was saying but Clarke cut him off "it wasn't a satellite" she started "the ark is dying" and everyone's eyes went wide and (y/n) stopped and look back at us "yeah but they'll fix it right? like always" jasper said nervously "no, life support is dying they cant fix it this time when they sent us down they had about 3 months maybe 4 now that were gone but what the council didn't realize is that in one of the rooms on the ark there was a leek that my father found out apparently its from around 8 years ago when some type of fire happened and they didn't see the burn marks under the carpet" all of us had wide eyes because that was one of the biggest rum ours that's gone around but the council just dismissed it and never gave anyone a real answer.
i looked over to (y/n) and she had pursed her lips and looked deep in thought and also kinda guilty for some reason but i just shrugged my shoulders "so yeah the ark is dying and we were put down here because and i quote 'expendable' to see if it is survivable" Clarke concluded "wow" jasper and Monty said and the same time "so that was the secret they put you in solitary for and why they floated your old man" Finn said and Clarke just kept walking .

after Clarkes explanation about the ark dying i felt incredibly sorry and guilty being the cause her father died and why she was locked up not even to mention being the reason everyone on the ark might die. the thing is me being mute no one actually knows what i didn't even tho i could tell them telepathically i t would only just bring more questions, and the only one that knows i have anything like powers is octavia but she only knows about my telepathy fire and electricity so she might catch on about the fire.
we were walking and i saw something like a deer and held up my hand; assuming they got the gesture they stopped walking a looked around curious i crouched down and signaled for them to follow and they did "huh, no animals huh" Finn said to Clarke who just rolled her eyes playfully and jonty chuckled Finn went to move forward but stepped on a stick which cracked and the deer turned to us and we all jumped because it has two heads and the deer ran away.
we all stood up and i was dusting myself off when someone bumped into me and i just looked up and saw Finn then i bent down to tie one of my shoe lacers that came undone "if I'm not wrong I'd say you haven't said a word yet" Finn said mockingly and the others just looked at me and i just stood up and went to continue walking but he grabbed my arm and i was getting annoyed so i sent a small pulse of electricity through my arm and he let go and shook his hand from the shock but the other just looked at me confusedly but i looked at octavia and she was confused but then realized and made an ' ohh' expression then spoke "yeh, she hasn't spoke since she was locked up" octavia spoke and and nodded as if a lot now made sense "how long ago was she locked up" jasper asked and octavia looked at me as if to ask if she could answer there questions and i nodded.
"she was locked up when she was ten" octavia said "well how old is she now and can we stop calling her she and tell us her name" finny said i already don't like him and iv only known him for 6 hours max "she turns 18 next week and her name is (y/N)" octavia said "wow mute for 8 years" jasper said "how exactly do you know all of this is she doesn't speak" Clarke asked and octavia looked stuck for a second "ummm, she has her ways i guess" octavia said and i chuckled at her frustrated expression "sign language?" Clarke asked and i gave up and just told her something telepathically "no Clarke" and she looked around confused "what was that" she said and octaviaa caught on and laughed but didn't explain "what was what" and i telepathically sent something to everyone "what was this?" and everyone's eyes went wide and started looking around and at this point octavia was holding her stomach "okay i think we all heard it that time" Clarke said and looked at me and i was unbothered and raised and eyebrow at her.
"how have you guys not figured it out yet" octavia asked "I'm just confused someone's talking but its i my head? i think" Monty said kind of asked "yeh genius, telepathy bitch" i said to all of them "wait! how tho" Clarke asked and i shrugged "can you do anything else " Finn asked "yeh, didn't she just shock Finn" jasper said stating the obvious "wait that was you i thought it was static?" Finn said and i just walked up to him and sent and stronger bolt witch made him jump and jasper to laugh " wait so that was you who sent murphy basically flying?" Monty asked and i tilted my head and kind of nodded,
"well what else can you do" finn asked again and i thought about what i should tell them or show them. 'well i cant show them fire' i thought so shrugged and started walking again but next to octavia this time.
