Clarkes pov

"-get our people out and leave, you have 3 minutes." Their words bounced around the room, echoing off  the walls as it travels from speakers down the corridors of Mount Weather.

"Who is that?" Bellamy's hushed voice crackles over the radio. Glancing towards Lexa, her eyebrows furrowed as she stared, none blinking at the speaker attached to the wall a few paces from us.

"Come on, Lexa." I nudged, voice quiet as the Commander stared blankly across the room having me question whether she heard me or not.

"She isn't supposed to be here. I left her at Arkadia, I was clear." Lexa's teeth gritted as she huffed, glaring at the speaker as if it would somehow burn into the back of the head of whoever spoke.

"I don't know what you're on about, Lexa. But they were clear. we only have 3 minutes, we don't exactly have any time to spare." Grabbing her arm, I pulled her.

"It's Y/n. She's hurt and in no position to be fighting this war." pulling her arm from me she began to march towards the door.

"Commander, if you knew Y/n at all, you'd know she's more than capable of defending herself and she would never just still quietly where she's safe while her people are fighting a war to save her friends, and besides, don't act like we couldn't use her help." I reason, sick of Lexa's overbearing behaviour towards the girl. Lexa, of course, wasn't having it.

Turning on her heels, attempting to yet again, storm out through the heavy metal doors.

"Lexa." stopping her in her tracks, she turns to me, green eyes burning through me as if daring me to try and stop her again.

"We have 3 minutes. We hardly found our way here, what makes you think you'll be able to get to wherever she is?" I argue and she stops, anger clearly building on her helplessness.

"Yes, Clarke. 3 minutes, we have 3 minutes till what exactly? What is she going to do? I need to go and see her. I refuse to lose her." upset, the brunette insisted.

"Finding her isn't going to help us rescue our people, Lexa. She's given us an opportunity, a window for us to get our people to safety and if I need remind you, that's why we're here in the first place. And if it's just her you're worried about, Lexa, we don't know what'll happen! Maybe she'll seal the doors, maybe she's already outside. The point is, is that we have not the slightest clue and she's giving us what we need to carry out this mission. Now though, we need to get going. She know the rendezvous spot, we'll as reconvene at the dam, just stick to the plan."

Startled by my rant, the commander begrudgingly nodded and I didn't wait around for her response as I started in our original direction, the commander in tow beside me. Her stiff posture finally letting up as she followed me, swords resting at the ready in either hands.

------

"Grab her legs, I got her shoulders" Sinclair rasps, hands gripping under raven's shoulders as Monroe and himself hoist her onto a stretcher.

"Alright everyone! Hurry this up, We don't have much longer" Abby shouts, eyes glued to the digital clock imbedded in the wall of the bone marrow room, eyes constantly flickering between Raven and the clock.

The chamber was chaotic. People rushing as Abby shouted demands. the circumstances obviously bugging the doctor that she'd have to wait to give these teenager their long awaited medical attention.

We had arrived at the bone marrow room shortly after Indra's group, being the last as we supervised the operation, helping where we could.

"What about our people? I haven't seen anything of them. I swear you sky invaders will have it in for you if you betray us." A grounder, I learned to be named Otto, roars. The war paint on his face covering any expression other than that in his eyes, anger.

"Bellamy and Echo escorted them through the tunnels, they should be at the dam already." Octavia chokes out to the grounder, grunting as she prying her sword in between a wall and the electronic door that is said to lead us straight through to the tunnels.

*beep*

A melodic beep sounds from the door as it decompresses and slides open, the light to the right of the disabled control panel turning an electric green. "Alright! Come on, everyone. We don't have time to waste." Octavia shouts to the people occupying the room.

Turning heads, people follow forwards, Redirected by her shout. Being the first to make their way through the open door-way, Indra leads the way, closely followed by people carrying stretchers, grounders and the individual skypeople.

Bringing me out of my daze, watching our people, Lexa's voice startles me. "You go, Clarke. I'll round them up from the back, make sure we don't lose anyone." glancing back, I nod. With all those people filing out of the doors, it wouldn't be a bad idea.

"Alr-"

"Nice try, Commander. But with all due respect, out you go." Cutting off my reply, Anya'S testing voice cuts me off. Her shoulder colliding with Lexa's body roughly as the Commander is otherwise shoved through the door. an 'mmpf' sound being lost amongst the people as she's swallowed by the crowd. Giving a nod, Anya signals for me to follow through the door, keeping her word as she stayed behind, waiting by the door as she ushered everyone through.

Stepping over the threshold, the dirt covering the floor in the tunnels scuffing under my boots as the cold air hits my face. The temperature of the night being a close reminder of what season is on it's way.
