Lowkey surprised you guys still give a fuck about this story. Recently life has been kind of a bitch, but we're rocking out.
As for the show, they ruined it.
I have very strong and majorly negative opinions towards the show. I found it to be incredibly disappointing in comparison to the pilot and even Helluva Boss. (Fight me, they got money hungry and ruined a perfectly good and promising show that had great potential. Helluva Boss has better writing and pacing than fucking Hazbin Hotel. And most of the songs in Hazbin Hotel are intolerable.)
REGARDLESS
This book's popularity really died because I just stopped updating regularly once I got fairly popular.
When the show released on Amazon Prime, I had a shit ton of new readers and votes and just never updated so they lost interest, which is completely fair but still. 40k reads is insane for a high school girl that was just trying to cope with life. (I'm graduated now. YAY!!) It's been a long five, almost six years of writing this fuckass book that you guys hopefully enjoyed.
Thanks again for reading this far and staying with me.
Go forth and blossom like the beautiful people you are <3
Lilith and Stolas' chilling advice had left an uncertain feeling in the living room. Everyone stood there for a few moments before Alastor took charge. "I suggest we eat and rest while we can," He said. Ozzie nodded, standing and leaving without another word.
"I'll take over dinner so that you two can spend time with the kids," he said, standing before you could protest. You started to stop him when Alastor grabbed your hand and gave a slight shake of the head. He then used your hand to lead you up the stairs. The two of you were silent as you walked, the halls that had always felt so warm and comfortable now felt dark and foreboding and no longer felt like your own. Inside the nursery, Marlowe was packing up things for Ambrose, who danced as soon as you and Alastor walked in. He gave an excited wiggle with his chunky body and cooed with excitement. Neither you nor Alastor could resist the smile as you looked at the adorable demon you had created together.
Alastor bent down to lift the chunky baby out of his crib and put him in his arms. He then pulled you closer to him, wrapping his arm around your waist and pulling you closer. "I'm proud of all you've done," Alastor uttered softly, placing a kiss on your forehead. "And I can't thank you enough for all you've given me, my love," he finished with a deep sigh.
"I love you so much, you don't need to thank me, baby," you uttered in response as you ran your right hand over Ambrose's head. He gave a toothless smile and bounced his arms a bit as he sat in his daddy's arms, blissfully unaware of the grim situation you were in.
Seeing him made you think about your dad, and worry filled your body. Endless scenarios ran through your head, imagining what could have possibly happened to him to make your mother lose faith in his ability to best it, even with the help of the others.
Lucifer had always come out on top, even if he was knocked to his feet.
He always came out on top...
The idea that he might not this time was terrifying to you.
"Don't worry about him, you need to stay focused," Alastor's words interrupted your fearful thoughts, bringing you back to reality. He was right after all, this very well could be Armageddon. The battle between The Heavens, Hell, and Earth to end it all. The thought was terrifying, not because you were immortal, but because a large portion of the people you loved weren't. Dax, Damone, Zaikki, Malachi... Marlowe... Vaggie and the rest of Charlie's friends. And there was no real proof that instilling Alastor with Angelic Magic would be enough to make his soul immortal.
