It was an odd thing to have an old friend back, and I wasn't sure how to feel. I spent more time with Ariana than ever before. She was slowly becoming my best friend; mostly due to the fact that my old ones had completely turned their backs on me for a while.
"You have to actually speak, you know, to be friends." Ariana informed me as we played a game of monopoly. While she said this, she twisted her hair around her pointer finger absentmindedly.
"Yeah, but she can speak to me first." I snapped, annoyed, as I gathered the money I had earned.
"You're so stubborn." She laughed and I looked up at her. She leaned over the game board and pinned me on the floor, kissing me. I let out a moan as she kissed my neck and I pushed her away.
"No sex." I smirked at her and she pouted. We were in her apartment again and had free time to do whatever we liked.
"Do you want to be friends with her?" Ariana said suddenly, pushing herself off of me. I looked back up at her. I felt the money in my hands fall to the floor.
"Yeah, I guess." I said, surprised. "But if she was so quick to believe someone else, I'm not sure if I should be her friend."
"I see." She raised an eyebrow and smirked as I blushed. "Well, let's continue playing." She winked playfully at me and moved her character down a few spaces. I breathed a sigh of relief.

"Okay, so what's going on?" Andrea slid into a seat next to me, looking back and forth between me and Ariana. We were sitting in a booth at a diner nearby that was always open late. It was currently 9PM.
"Well, this is the first time you're both together again as ... friends. I assumed we should celebrate." Ariana picked up a fry off of my plate and ate it, watching us both, waiting for some kind of reaction.
I rolled my eyes and shot a glance towards the door. Ariana had called Jane too. She didn't believe Jane would show, though.
"I don't think she's coming.." Andrea spoke up, drifting off as she picked up her burger. I sighed.
"No, no. I should have known." I laughed sadly.
Ariana squeezed my hand, her eyes staring at me with a different look. I squeezed back, brushing the hurt of Jane ignoring me off. Not like I needed her, right?
The door to the diner opened with a jingle as a few people came in. Someone coughed and all three of us looked up, our mouths open in shock.
"Jane?"
"Look-," She began. I held up my hand, indicating for her to let me speak. She sighed, but sat down beside Andrea.
"I understand why you'd believe her over me... but it isn't right. I think we should all just take things slow. You have to gain my trust back before anything." My eyes met hers. "I mean, if you even want to be friends."
Jane blushed. "Of course I do. I'm sorry." She leaned back and I noticed how close she was to Andrea; I felt a twinge of annoyance. Andrea was supposed to be my best friend.
Jane picked a fry off of Andrea's plate like Ariana had done to me earlier. Andrea shot her a furious look and I turned to look at Ariana, who shifted uncomfortably beside me.
"Well that settles it, then." She clapped her hands together, smiling at us all. "Let's never let people get between any of us again."
Jane surveyed Ariana with a weird look, while Andrea just nodded. I kept my blank stare going. I was still a bit angry about the whole situation...
