Carter
I laughed at the look on Andrea's face. We were sitting in her hot tub - well, her parents hot tub.
"She just asked you out? Like that?" Andrea chuckled and snapped her fingers dramatically. "This calls for a celebration." She reached over and took a sip of the beer she had taken from her fathers fridge. Both of her parents were on their work trips, gone for nearly two months. Andrea was often left home alone. They really trusted her.
"It isn't like that just yet. We're taking it slow, whatever that means." I giggled. "Besides, out of all people, you know I've only been serious with two girls. Clarissa and Jane, but I don't exactly consider those relationships to be real." I shuddered, recalling the memories.
"Jane made you happy, though. Didn't you lose your, er.... 'virginity' to her?" She took another sip, and passed it over to me.
I took an even bigger sip in order to prepare myself before replying. I needed it, to talk about Jane. "Yeah. It was pretty hot, I mean, Sam's closet? Talk about sexy!" I wolf whistled and Andrea started to laugh so hard, tears formed in her eyes.
"I had no idea! I couldn't find you that night and the whole time you were less than three feet away from me and Xavier.." She giggled.
"You and who?" I gasped. "I had no idea.. I thought that was just a rumor."
"Dude, we had sex in the same room!" She burst into giggles. "We were on his mother's bed, I know, disgusting!" She laughed loudly as she saw my face contorted in disgust. "But you were in that huge closet, it was practically a whole other room by itself."
"Ah," I could remember kissing Jane as if it were just yesterday. It was just way too easy for me to touch her. I could remember the heat between us as we unzipped my dress, threw off her t-shirt and shorts, trying our best continue kissing as we did so.
"It was a fun night, except for when Sam made us all go home before 3am." I took another swig of beer, frowning.
"That was because of Jessica, don't you remember?" Suddenly Andrea's tone was tense. "She was going to call the cops because were apparently being too loud," Andrea scoffed. "and she threatened to hurt you. She's crazy." Her eyes met mine in a tight, angry, stare.
"Yeah. I didn't actually know if that was true." I shrugged. "But oh well, she got to me anyways." Another sip of alcohol found it's way down my throat. There was an awkward moment of silence.
"Don't say that. Jessica was a liar and I'm sorry. I was so stupid and wasn't there for you when you needed me the most." Andrea dunked herself underwater and came back up. "Okay, lets get out."
"Ariana is waiting for me. I think she wanted to take me shopping." I smiled at the thought of me and Ariana together at the mall. Doing something normal.
"In public? Hello? Jacob?" Andrea laughed, but something seemed strange.
"No. We're going to go shopping two towns away from here.I'm excited to finally spend some time with my girlfriend." I winked as I said the word for the first time. I quickly dried myself off and grabbed my bag. "Now, if you'll excuse me.." I opened her sliding door and found my way to the bathroom and changed.
I only had the chance to pull on my jeans when I heard Andrea's nervous tone.
"Carter!" She yelled urgently. I shoved my head through my shirt and opened the door. "Someone's here for you."
"What?" I shoved myself quickly past the doorway of the bathroom and nearly crashed into Andrea, who was laughing. "What?-" I repeated, but stopped myself as Ariana came into view. The sight of her on the porch caused me to grin.
"Your friend told me to come here, she wanted to see how you would react. She called me through your phone." Ariana was leaning against the front-door frame, a smirk on her face. I glared at her but she came beside me. "I'm glad she did, I get to see you an hour earlier," She mumbled into my hair as she kissed me.
She tugged my arm. "Thanks, Andrea! Don't worry, I'll bring her back alive." She pulled me away as I waved a weak goodbye as I was being pulled along. We made it to Ariana's huge green SUV. It seemed as if she couldn't stop smiling as she opened the passenger door for me.
"Shopping spree," She waved her credit card in her hand as she pulled out, driving away.

I stared after her as she walked into Macy's, her shadow following lightly as the sun began to go down. It was only 8 and my day of drinking had me still buzzed. I felt the smile creeping back onto my lips and I followed behind her hastily.
She was waiting for me from behind the beds and the comforters. As I walked closer she grabbed me, reeling me in for a hungry, urgent kiss.
"I really like you, Carter." She moaned between all the kissing. She began to go lower and kissed my neck lightly, the same urgency amounting to it.
"Me too," I purred as she kissed lightly on my neck. People looked at us awkwardly as they searched for the items they needed. I pulled Ariana away from there. We couldn't make out right in the middle of a store.
"Hey!" She protested in a whiny voice as I pushed the button for the elevator. She pushed me up against the wall and continued to kiss me while we waited. I pulled away with a gasp as the doors popped open.
We went in and Ariana was immediately back on me. I pushed her away, holding her wrists tightly in my hand. She looked up at me, her eyes meeting mine.
"Ariana, do you even like me? Or am I just some sort of sex you? Something to help you move past my brother?" I laughed, but nothing about this was humorous to me.
"Of course I like you." She glared at me, disbelief clear in her voice. "I don't use people."
"Then talk to me, don't just kiss me! Donny get me wrong, I like kissing you.. but... I want to know I actually mean something to you, that I'm not just some girl to practice on." As I said this, she pulled herself out of my grip, her face contorted in anger.
"Are you serious?" The doors suddenly popped open again, causing both of us to jump. I had forgotten where we were. Ariana walked away from me; I followed, rushing behind her. She whipped around when we were in the middle of the mall, with people surrounding us.
"Look! I like you. You. Just trust me, okay? I know how hard it is for you to put your trust into someone, but I need you to do that. For me." She stared at me in silence, letting her words sink in.
My eyes widened. "Okay," I looked at her, an intense look on my face. "I trust you, I think. It is hard for me to trust people." I felt tears going down my face and I wanted to run and hide from public embarrassment.
"I know." Ariana came closer to me and held me in her arms, kissing the top of my head. People whistled and I heard Ariana make a light, hearty laugh.
"I love you." I whispered quickly, turning pink almost as soon as the worlds were out. We were supposed to be taking it slow. "I didn't-" I began.
"I know." She repeating, placing a hair behind my ear and smiling. "It's okay. I love you too." She kissed my lips. "You mean so much to me." She murmured against them as she took my hand in hers.
"Of course. Continue our shopping?" I laughed, pulling her into the closest store; Hot Topic. My scene days hit me in a whirl as I walked towards the T-shirts; Ariana walked to the anime section.
"Carter?" A voice brought me back to earth. "What are you doing here?" I was surprised to see that I already was standing in front of the band shirts that were always lined up. Almost as if it were fate.
I turned towards the sound of the voice and almost fainted.
"Jane?"
