Once we got to the library we walked in and found somewhere to sit.

He got out his stuff and I put my hair up and my glasses. I hated wearing my glasses in public I look like a total nerd with them on but I just felt like putting them on. Not sure why though.

He got out his books and papers and started to go over some of the stuff that was going to be on the test.

His aunt kept texting him but he just ignore them until she finally called him
"Aren't you going to pick up?"
"Oh I ghost her all the time she does that when she needs a simple question answered."

If my dad paid atleast a quarter of the amount of care and attention Peters aunt does then I would be the happiest girl in the world

"Did your aunt adopt you or something why don't your parents ever call/text you?"
I ask him as he finally answers his aunt.

"They-theyre dead"
He said so nonchalantly

"Oh.. sorry.. I-I didn't mean- sorry.."
I say turning away and looking at the work
"It's ok. You didn't know"
He said smiling making me smile

He looks at his book as he says
"I heard you talking to Ms.Warren about your mom in class today"

I groan and look at him then straight ahead "you heard?"
"It was sweet"
We look at each other at about the same time.
"I wish she was still here"
I say quietly
"Hey you can borrow my aunt"
He teases me making me laugh.
"Deal"

We shake hands and then burst out laughing and end up getting yelled at.
Once we calmed ourselves done I look at my practice test and groan.
"I don't get it"
I say quietly
I actually understand it completely but I have to pretend not to

"Here let me explain it in a different way"
He put the test back down the table and starts to explain each part in incredible detail. I keep just looking at him while he talks he has a great side profile.

Once he finishes he looks at me
"Do you think you get it now?"

I nod
"Yeah I actually do... you should become a full time tutor you're good at this"

He looks at me then gathers his stuff
"So we're good here?"
"Mhm"

He stuffs everything in his backpack then leaves.

He left so fast.. I wonder why
he's going to be a tough guy to crack

I go home but lo and behold my father stands there with a weird looking weapon on the table.

"Why do you have to bring weapons home"
I say and he narrows his eyes at me
"It does not concern you"
Rude
"I live here the most so I think I should know why"
"I have found a new business partner. A man who makes weapons. Very high tec ones made out of alien matter or whatever those starks use-"
Before my father can go on I ask
"Is this guy like a villain too?"
My father nods
"He has a group of men and he says that they could use my power to get them more tec"

I cross my arms and blankly stare at him
"What are you getting out of it.."
"None of your business"

My father is so one sided, he would never help someone if something wasn't in it for him
I don't understand why he's still doing this villain stuff anymore
He's gotten money, he's gotten destruction and I don't think he'll stop till he gets more
