Sam's POV:
September 27th, 2020
Eddie and I waited to be called into the doctor's office in our vehicle. Our hands were clasped together, and I couldn't help but get excited when I thought about our appointment today and the 'party' tomorrow. Today, the gender of the babies will be revealed, and I asked Nic to keep it a secret for the next 24 hours. I attempted to give her money for the gender reveal sweets, but she refused and said she would handle it. She is the best friend I could have ever asked for.
Eddie and I couldn't be more excited. Our first month of marriage has been such a dream come true; we haven't had any issues, and our health has been really good. Christopher can't wait to find out the genders of the babies, and honestly, neither can I. But at the same time, as long as they are both healthy, I couldn't care less about their genders.
My phone started ringing. "Hello?"
"Mrs. Diaz, you may come inside with your husband now."
"Alright, thank you."
The line went dead and I motioned for Eddie to follow me. We walked inside together with our fingers laced together, Eddie held the door for me like the loving and charming gentleman that he is. I was so blessed to have him, my belly was starting to show as I entered my 5th month, Eddie always showed the babies affection and constantly reminded them of how loved they are which always put a smile on my face.
Evan and Maddie have been so supportive throughout this journey. Maddie is just now starting to show. She is only a few weeks behind me in her pregnancy; our kids better be best friends too, or I'm rioting. "Mrs. Diaz, please follow me."
I was brought into the room where I sat alone months ago, I shook the thought out of my head and took Eddie's hand, after a few moments passed, Nic walked in. She smiled through her mask and hugged both Eddie and me. "It's great to see the happy couple again. How was the honeymoon? I haven't seen you since the wedding!"
I laughed lightly, "I know, I'm sorry, we have all been so busy. It was a great escape from reality."
Eddie nodded. "Yeah, I wish this pandemic wasn't happening. I'd love to have you and Conrad around for dinner or something but-"
Nic nodded; she understood. "It's too risky, I know. I totally get it. All we can do is hope for the best and that it won't last long. Now enough of the sad topic, let's see those little ones!"
I started smiling, not that it was noticeable. Eddie lightly squeezed my hand. Nic lifted my shirt and put the gel on my sightly larger stomach. I looked at the screen intentionally, I wanted to try and figure out the genders. Eddie, Christopher, Buck, Maddie, Sophia, and I are all making bets later.
The image appeared on the screen, and my mouth opened slightly; they were getting so big. "Aww, Sam," Eddie smiled as he looked at the screen in awe.
"Does everything look normal, Nic?"
"Yes, everything looks great, and I see the gender! I can't wait to share it with you both tomorrow."
"But I want to know now!" Eddie whined.
"Too bad," I replied. "You're a grown-up and can wait 24 hours to find out, we do it every week when we watch Vikings."
"Fair enough."
Nic laughed at our bickering and pulled me into a hug, "I'm so happy for you."
"Thank you, Nic. It means the world to me that you're so willing to do this."
"Oh, of course, Sam, now get going, I have things to get in order for tomorrow!"
I smiled, "Okay, bye Nic,"
