A/N: in case it's not clear, in this one Linessa isn't together, Grofflin's just a couple of idiots

"Hey buddy," Lin sighed, allowing himself to be held for a moment. They hadn't seen each other in over a year- he'd forgotten how warm Jon was. How good he smelled. How did he always smell so good?

Groff chuckled lightly when he felt Lin sniff his neck.

"If your cologne is missing in a couple days, don't question it." Groff snorted at this, patting him on the cheek.

"Wasn't planning on it," he smiled cheekily. Lin ducked his head, throwing hands in his pockets.

"So where're we off to?" he asked, a crinkly grin as they strolled.

"Well- I still have an extra key....." Lin stopped in his tracks.

"Wait- do you mean."

"I do," he said, giddily.

Lin's excitement grew as they proceeded down Broadway. He linked arms with Jon when they reached the Richard Rogers. No one was there since it was a Monday.

Jon patted his jeans, pulling out a set of keys once he found them and opened the door. He pulled Lin in with him and they giggled as the door slammed behind them. Lin ran over to the stage leaving a chuckling Jon behind.

Jon jogged to catch up with him, finding him gazing up into the hundreds of seats, standing centerstage. He caught sight of Lin beaming from ear to ear, sighing in content.

"I really missed this," Lin muttered. Jon walked up to stand next to him. They sat down at the edge in silence for a while.

Jon leaned back on his hands, looking up. After a minute, Lin did the same. They made eye contact as their hands touched. Blush rose in their cheeks but neither moved their hand away. They continued on in silence.

"This is nice," Lin said after a while.

"Yeah, we should do this more often."

"Why don't we?" Lin mumbled under his breath. Jon peeked over at him, sighing. Lin's eyes were pointed down, long eyelashes prominent. He looked back towards the audience.

"I guess we've just been busy....."

"For a whole year?" Now Lin was gaping at Jon, who turned his head again. He gulped when they made eye contact, gaze intense. He stuttered, unable to come up with an answer. He looked down at their hands, interlocking his fingers with Lin's.

Now both their gazes were locked on their hands, life seemingly perfect in that moment. They looked back up simultaneously, smiles lingering when it clicked.

"But I thought....." Lin started.

"Aren't you.....?"

"No."

"Oh- I never......"

A tear rolled down Groff's cheek. Lin's eyes softened as he wiped it away, touch tender. Lin's touch sent Jon's heart racing.

They erupted into giggles, running hands through hair, their lips eventually finding each other.
