Lin couldn't focus. He could feel himself beginning to space out but at least nothing important was going on.

His knee was bouncing, fingers twitching. He had a meeting later that day. He really hoped he wouldn't be late. That was always a fear of his but now he couldn't help but hyperfocus on that.

"Lin," Jon cooed in his ear, sliding a hand over his thigh. Lin looked down. He always admired Jon's hands, his fingers.

"Yeah?" he piped up. Jon sighed, bringing Lin's head to lay on his shoulder, squeezing his knee.

"It's gonna be okay," he whispered in his ear.

"I know," Lin chuckled, "I know."

"You got some free time?"

"Yeah. Why?"

"C'mon," Jon said, "Let's take a nap."

Jon brought him in close to his chest and he nuzzled in close, humming appreciatively. He really needed this, if only to distract himself from all the stress.

But after a while, he still couldn't find it in himself to go to sleep.

"Lin?" Jon asked, having not heard his breathing steady the way it usually did, Lin's soft snores as his mouth fell open, that last little squeeze against his torso before he dozed off. "You okay down there?"

Lin groaned, squirming a bit, grip tightening on the back of Jon's tee shirt. "I can't stop thinking," he whined. He smushed his nose into his chest, letting out a sigh.

"Shh," Jon rubbed circles into his back, "is there anything I can do?"

Lin looked up, as best he could in the position he was in, "talk about your day? I like your voice."

And so he did. It was, to Lin, a lullaby of sorts, hearing his laughs, his chuckles. No rough tones disturbing his ears. Just calming, happy Jon.

Sooner than later his body relaxed into a light slumber and Jon looked down, smiling fondly.
