"I can't do it! Okay?" Lin had almost yelled at him, and they'd never had a fight like this before. Well, it wasn't much of s fight, but to them it was. To them, this was new territory, filled with tension and regret of what they couldn't pursue.

Lin placed a careful hand on his shoulder, trying to calm himself. "Look I'm sorry, but we really can't, I couldn't do that to her, okay?"

Jon nodded softly, mouth tight, eyes unfocused. Lin took a long shaky breath and stepped out of his space, grabbing his bag and heading out the door.

Jon stood for a while. Unmoving. Was that really it? No more?

Though, he didn't have much time to think it over, to process it before Lin came rushing back in, eyes set on him.

"Lin? What're you-"

"Don't talk," he whispered before clashing his mouth with his. Jon froze for only a second before giving in, chasing after his tongue.

It felt wild, passionate, the way Lin clutched at the nape of his neck, trying to melt into him. The little throat noises they let out and the slides of tongue all felt so fucking good.

A bit too good.

Jon froze again, pushing him away by the shoulders. "Why are you doing this?" he whispered brokenly.

"Kissing you?" his voice was rough.

"Why are you playing with my heart like this?"

Lin stuttered, eyes widening, "I didn't mean to.... it was just a spur of the moment thing, really....."

"Is that all this was to you? Spur of the moment?" he asked with a blank face. "I loved you."

"I love you too," he said quickly, "I-"

"Stop it. You don't. Not like I did."

This time Jon was the one to walk out, shaking away Lin's hand as he reached for his arm. He wasn't getting pulled in like this again.
