The wind was loud, blowing through their hair

The wind was loud, blowing through their hair. Flyaways covered Lin's forehead and cheeks, Jon's shorter hair less of a burden. The low bun was slowly coming undone and Lin was fed up.

"I really wanna cut my hair," Lin sighed, as they both sat down. Jon's head turned sharply to face him, confused.

"Why? What about Hamilton? Isn't that why you grew it out."

"Oh, yeah I meant after Hamilton," he chuckled, "It's so annoying, I just can't handle it anymore."

"I can understand that," he said. Lin raised an eyebrow, edging him on. "Don't you remember my long hair? 2007-2009 about?" He brought a hand to his shoulder, gesturing to where the length had been and Lin remembered.

He remembered the longer, curly hair, something he could stare at all day if he pleased. Something he wished he could've reached out to touch. They weren't so close back then.

He could now, though. So he did.

He brought a hand up to his hair, running his fingers from his forehead to the crown, brushing it to the side. He felt that sudden urge to pull, to get a reaction. To watch Jon's mouth fall open, a pretty blush rising up his neck.

He resisted. He had other ideas.

"Can I take your picture?" Lin asked, bringing that hand down to cup his chin, thumb rubbing his jawline. "You just look really pretty right now," he smiled nervously. Normally when he complimented people, they'd look away, embarrassed. Not Jonathan. He stared right back, just as sincere- gaze no less flustering than his own.

"Go for it." Lin's eyes flickered down to his lips as he spoke. He stood up, pulling out his phone. "How do you want me to pose?" His hands were folded in his lap as he straightened his back. He was glorious.

"Stay like that and smile for me." Lin wasn't sure what type of smile he was going to get and, frankly, he wanted to be surprised.

It ended up being one of those wide grins. The kind he'd greet Lin with, eyes crinkled, tender and lovely. He squinted his eyes as a harsh wind blew through his hair and Lin snapped the picture. He pocketed his phone.

"Don't I get to see it?" Jon asked, wetting his lips, grin lingering. Lin raised his eyebrows.

"Oh yeah, sorry, here," he passed him the phone. Jon looked at it for a moment.

"Wow."

"What?" Lin started, bringing his face close to his own, "Did you realize how stunning you are?"

"I- was going to say you take really good photos....." and there was that beautiful blush Lin loved, the pursed lips, twinkling eyes.

"Well it's not so hard when the model does their part," he grinned, pushing Jon's hair back. Jonathan opened his mouth, closing it again.

"Whatever," he smirked, kissing him on the cheek. Pulling back, his lips were forced onto Lin's, pulled in by the chin. He sighed into it, smiling wide into his mouth until their teeth clashed and they both winced, giggling, going back inside.
