Om, Gauri, Shivaay, Anika and Rudra had all decided to roam the town streets on New Years Eve. They wore thick furry coats and set out. People saw them and named Gauri as "the new girl in town".
They all were roaming around when they saw an ice rink.
They decided to ice skate. Gauri did not know how to skate but she kept mum seeing everyone else's excitement. They all wore ice skates and entered the rink. Om saw gauri's pale face and asked her
" hey! What's wrong?"
" nothing!" Gauri replied trying to sound convinceful.
Om quickly understood that she was lying and asked her,
"how well can you skate? "
"Eh! Not so well."
She replied sheepishly
"It's ok, hold my hand. I won't ever let go"
Om said taking her hand in his, Gauri understood what he implied .
His grip felt safe and sound. She too held his hand and they entered the rink.
Om and Gauri were skating when Gauri almost slipped and fell on the ice rink landing on her bump.
Om laughed at her position.
" you said you wouldn't let go! Humph ! " she said as she made a grumpy face.
"Aww but you were getting good at it. So I thought that you would be able to do it on yourself."
Om replied in defeat.
"So you will let me go if l am alright?" Gauri asked in a serious tone Om did not need much time to register what Gauri had implied.
"I didn't mean it like that, come on let's get up. I promised I wont let go." Om said with an assuring smile. Gauri too returned the smile and got up and all of them skated together.
After skating for a long time, The Oberoi's and Gauri were now tired. The 5 of them went to a nearby bar. They all ordered scotch so that they wouldn't be cold anymore. The bar had a live band. In the cheerful spirit of New Years eve Anika and Gauri quickly went on the deck/ stage. They both danced joyfully om,Shivaay and Rudy watched them in amusement. Being from a big and a bit dysfunctional family these three guys had never been in such a joy full environment where no one recognised them as the 3 privileged business princes'. Anika quickly got down from the stage and pulled Om, Shivaay and Rudy from their table. Shivaay joined Anika and Om almost instantly joined Gauri and Rudy, poor fellow was again all alone, but he still had his good looks which he used to charm a girl who was randomly dancing in the stage.To Rudy's surprise, Bhavya entered in the bar she saw Rudy swaying his hips to some random girl and shot a glare at him. This did not go unnoticed by any of the member on the stage. An angry Bhavya stormed out of the bar she was followed by Anika and Gauri, who managed to get her back in a good mood.
Now, gauri-om, shivaay-anika and Rudy - bhavya were dancing. Songs like last Christmas, footloose, Underneath the tree, played. While dancing, Rudy suddenly shouted.
"Om, di, don't move please! If you move I don't -know what would happen."
