Omkara's pov:

We sat there for a while and waited for the bride and groom to arrive. It looked like they were taking a bit more time so I got up and went outside to attend a call. It was their day afterall.

"Om, where are you?" It was Shivaay on the call.

"Rudra and Prinku pulled me out to LA, for someone's wedding. What's up?" I told him.

"Can you take a call right now?" he asked, sounding a bit worried.

"Yeah sure." I told him and he sent a number to call. Besides, I had nothing better to do at a stranger's wedding.

"Mr Omkara Singh Oberoi?" the woman spoke from the other side.

"Yes?" I spoke as the call was picked up on the third ring.

"Mr Omkara, I've called to talk to you about the case that you had filed 3 years ago on Miss Sharma." she spoke and my nerves shot up. I hadn't heard that woman's name in three years and if anybody mentioned, I made sure they never spoke of her. I was eerily successful in avoiding her topic through all these years, for my own mental sanity. And three years later Shivaay sends me a random number and a random woman suddenly starts this dreaded topic, out of the blue?

Why and who is this lady?

"Who are you?" I asked, furrowing my eyebrows.

"I'm a lawyer, your brother Mr Shivaay Singh Oberoi had put me to work on that case after you had closed it. I did some digging on your case and found out that Mr West was involved; is that correct?" she asked me.

This lady was reminding me things I wish had never happened. Miss Gauri Sharma, Mr Brandon West, are the very chosen names that I hate to mention or hear someone mention.

"Yes." I spoke reluctantly as I was rather irritated now. I was hoping this conversation would end as soon as possible.

"Well, congratulations. I am very happy to tell you that you did the right thing by taking back your case." She spoke happily. Hearing her being so happy about me taking my case back, which I had filed three years ago, was giving me jitters. Why would she be happy about that? I had done that because I couldn't fall so low that I'd file a suspicion case on my own ex-girlfriend. I couldn't betray her like she betrayed me.

"Congratulations? What for?" I asked, continuing to be baffled by her.

"You did not let Ms Sharma face the court because she was, after all, innocent." she spoke cheerfully, again!

Wait, innocent?

Gauri isn't innocent

She betrayed me.

She gave out very confidential information just like that to that Brandon bastard West. She'd done something I never thought she could do.

"What do you mean, please explain." I said, now keen on listening more than ever.

Besides knowing the truth that Gauri was nowhere near innocent, I was now very keen on which new-found excuse this woman was about to give me. Nonetheless, I was getting a bad feeling that something too bad or too good was about to happen.

"Mr Oberoi, the information leaked to Mr West was not by Ms Sharma but by one of your employees, David." she informed me.

David?
