Third person's Pov:

"Here are today's files." Gauri said as she placed a bunch of files on a desk. A man in a proper suit was sitting in front of her.

"Done?" The man asked, not raising his eyes to even see Gauri.

"Yes, all the meetings are arranged and tomorrow we are meeting with Dr Samson." Gauri told him.

"Good. How are you going home?" he asked

"I'll go by my car." she told him.

"You sure? Do you want me to d..." he asked, eyes still in his laptop.

"I am, you cannot keep worrying about me, boss." Gauri replied chuckling.

"Oh, I am not worried about you. I am worried about myself. What if you show up late at night like you did last year this week. What do I tell my family?" The man said finally getting up from his seat and walking towards Gauri with a smile.

"Don't worry. I won't." Gauri replied with a smile.

"Okay, take care. Bye Gauri." the man said and gave Gauri a hug.

"Bye Lucas."

Gauri returned the hug and drove her car to her new home.

Gauri now lived in LA. She had left New York on this day, three years ago.

Gauri opened the door to her beautiful and big beach faced house. She went upstairs to her bedroom which had a beautiful view of the beach. She opened her cupboard and looked at the calendar. Today's date was marked with a red-cross and named, 'Happy Realisation'. She then took out the snow-globe which Om had gifted her on Christmas. These little things had too many memories in them.

"Exactly 3 years." she said to herself.

Gauri kept looking at the calendar and the snow globe when the doorbell rang. She quickly kept it all in and went downstairs to open the door.

"What are you doing here?" Gauri asked.

"Honestly, do I need a reason?" as  the person waltzed into her house.

"Steph?" Gauri asked her friend, Stephanie.

"I don't need babysitting." Gauri said closing the door and going behind Stephanie who entered her kitchen.

"I know." Stephanie said smiling and putting a chip in her mouth.

"I am not here to look after you, that's like the worst job ever. I am here to take you somewhere." Stephanie told Gauri; smirking ear to ear.

"Somewhere?"

"We live in LA, baby. We're gonna enjoy!" Stephanie told Gauri and pulled her out of her house.

"Hold on. You cannot come in this scruffy dress. Go and put something hot." Stephanie told her with an uncheerful face.

"I am not in a mood to go anywhere, please let's just stay in." Gauri pleaded.

"Shut up and move your lazy ass." Stephanie scolded.

Gauri nodded a no but Stephanie gave her a look and Gauri gave in.

"Fine." Gauri said irritated and went upstairs and put on a satisfactory dress.

Gauri and Stephanie went to a nearby club and went near the bar.

"We're not gonna sit here, we're gonna dance with random boys! We're hot young women with a 'nothing-happening' life. And it sucks." Stephanie shouted in the crowded bar to make sure Gauri heard her.

"I am not dancing. You can. " Gauri said and sat down on one of the bar chairs.

"Remember you have a fiancé to marry!" Gauri shouted to remind Stephanie to which she earned a thumbs up from Stephanie.

Stephanie happily disappeared in the crowd and started dancing in the crowd.

After Gauri had ordered a scotch that she was sipping on with the least interest, a guy came and sat beside her and introduced himself.

"Hi, I am Jack." he introduced with a charming smile.

"And I'm not interested." Gauri said coldly and went back to her glum drinking.

"Bitch!" the guy cursed and Gauri made a cute scrunched nose and waved him bye.

After about 5-20 minutes an irritated Stephanie appeared from the crowd.

"Dancing with random boys, you hot young woman! How'd that go for you?" Gauri teased Stephanie.

"Put a sock in it." Stephanie warned Gauri and Gauri just kept laughing.

"Chug! chug! Chug!" The crowd cheered as Gauri and Stephanie finished another shot of tequila.

"To crappy men." Stephanie raised her shot of tequila and Gauri clinked her shot glass to Steph's.

After many shots of tequila Gauri and Stephanie were a little visibly tipsy.

"You know men are trash!" Stephanie announced.

"True." Gauri replied in a drunk tone.

"Idiots!" Stephanie put out.

"Mean" Gauri declared, and they continued.

"Dumb fu*ks" Stephanie.

"Stupid." Gauri.

Drunk, Gauri and Stephanie kept giving men mean adjectives. After a minute they had both stopped.

"Those monkeys are idiots." Stephanie said high pitched, once again breaking the silence.

Gauri looked at Stephanie for a minute and broke into laughter.

"Monkeys?" Gauri asked, snickering.

"Yes, monkeys. They are like animals. I think I should start going to the other side; but then again who would marry my stupid fiancé?" Stephanie said resting her face on her scotch glass.

"You need to cool down and you're already leaving?" Gauri asked.

"No honey, I am not leaving this place. I am thinking of becoming a lesbian, women are good." Stephanie declared.

"How do you think I do that?" Stephanie asked. The two of them were highly intoxicated to understand their brainless conversation.

"I don't think it works like that. You have to be born a lesbian or gay. Or, you would have to go through a sex-reassignment surgery if you really want to do it but artificially. It's a pretty painful surgery and the post-ops are not very pleasant. Ugh." Gauri told her.

(I honestly have no idea if the above thing is true I have just put it out there. No offence to anyone, I respect each and every single one of you.)

"I don't understand all these medical terms. Talk English." Stephanie said.

"I used to be a very good doctor, and now I am not. I miss my life." Gauri pouted.

"You miss that ass hat who did not trust you?" Stephanie asked.

"Shh. We don't talk about New York anymore." Gauri said pointing her index finger and shut Stephanie up.

After a while when they were a bit sober they were leaving. Gauri and Stephanie were walking out of the club when Gauri tripped over a table and was about to fall when someone caught her by her arm.

"Om?" Gauri asked.
