"It can't be!" Gauri said almost inaudible.
Om who was sitting at a distance was watching all this. Gauri's pale face was visible to him from a distance.
"Why did her face turn pale like this after seeing the guy?" Om thought.
"Gauri!" The guy said and hugged Gauri.
"It's been a long time." The guy said breaking the hug to which Gauri had not responded at all.
Gauri was standing like a statue all this time. The only way anyone could make out that she was a human was that her eyes were filled with tears which would roll down any minute.
"Andrew-." Gauri finally spoke, but very faintly.
Om got up from his table and went near Gauri and Yash. When he went there he saw Gauri's eyes filled with tears.
It did not take much time for Om's impatience to turn into anger.
"Gauri, is something wrong?" Om asked Gauri.
Gauri was in a trance, finally when Om snapped in front of her eyes she realized Om was asking her something.
"Is something wrong I asked?" Om said again calmly.
"Excuse me? Who are you?" Yash asked tapping Om's shoulder.
Neither Om nor Gauri replied to him.
Gauri pulled Om by his hand out of the restaurant.
"Is he the guy?" Gauri asked with tears.
"Yes! You were to go on a date with this guy. Did he say or do something to you?" Om said cupping Gauri's face.
Meanwhile Andrew came near them.
"Gauri, what happened?" Andrew asked calmly.
"How could you!" Gauri snapped at Andrew, literally screaming.
"How could you not tell me at least once, that you were alive? I waited for you; I waited for your call every single freaking day! I thought you were dead!" she continued.
Om was shocked to hear this.
"You thought I was dead?! I tried calling you but you never picked up a single call! I thought everything was fine between us after that text of yours!" Andrew replied almost crying too.
"What text!?" Gauri asked. Tears were flowing down her face.
"Wow! You don't even remember now? You said that everything was over between us! You said that after what had happened you didn't wish to be with me anymore!" Andrew was screaming too.
"Over between us?" Om asked baffled.
"What text? I never sent you any texts!" Gauri said
"Really! I hardly find it convincing!" Andrew said angrily.
"Why would I lie, huh? After I got the message of you being dead, I never even dared to open your contact list!" Gauri said confidently.
"Liar! You didn't wish to talk to me after our argument; you didn't want to feel responsible for it! And here I was thinking that finally everything was back to normal!" Andrew said pointing a finger towards Gauri angrily.
Andrew glared at Gauri and then left from there.
Om silently took Gauri by her shoulders to his car and they drove back home.
The drive was extremely silent. Om could hear silent sobs from Gauri's side; who was continuously looking out of the window. If not with Gauri, Om too was in a state of crying. He was hurt about what he had seen and what he had presumed from the incident. He also was blaming himself for hurting Gauri so much. He had never seen Gauri so disturbed.
They reached back to their apartment and Gauri opened her door. Om silently followed her in her apartment. Gauri sat on her couch and held her head in her hands and looked down.
Om sat down beside her and rubbed her back to comfort her.
Gauri realized Om had witnessed all this drama.
She quickly looked up and turned to Om's side.
"Om..." Gauri started, but before she could say anything Om got up and got her a glass of water.
"Don't say anything now. Calm down first." Om said not meeting her eyes. Although he wanted to sound calm and comforting; Gauri could make out how hurt he was.
Gauri drank the water and sat there quietly. The silence was killing Om; he wanted to know what exactly had happened.
"I met him in Harvard." Gauri started.
