Gauri hurried down the stairs as she heard her name called out for the fifth time since she had woken up.
"Sorry, I'm late. I slept a bit late." Gauri said as she reached the breakfast table where everyone was already seated.
"It's fine. Now sit and eat. Everything is getting cold." Dadi ordered and Gauri obeyed.
"I see you and my brother have finally managed to break some ice." Priyanka whispered to Gauri as she buttered her toast.
"Something like that." Gauri said smiling as she poured herself a cup of coffee.
"Good. I like that you've given him a second chance. How's it working out?" Priyanka said as she finished buttering the toast.
"Well, the ice is cracking slowly. But, I'm scared that if it breaks too quickly it would shatter. I don't want to cause global warming." Gauri said as she ate a spoonful of beans.
"Take your time. You have to do justice to yourself and him, both." Priyanka advised and Gauri smiled. Priyanka being Om's sister, she never was biased. She loved them both equally.
"What are the two of you buzzing about?" Anika asked.
"Nothing bhabhi, best friend stuff." Priyanka winked.
"Anyways Gauri, my first ultrasound report will be here today and you are helping me, remember?" Anika di asked from across the table.
Everyone listened to the conversation with keen interest. Moving their eyes from Anika to Gauri and Gauri to Anika as if watching a tennis match.
"Oh right! Sure, tell me when the reports are here and I can read them for ya." Gauri replied with a smile.
"Actually the reports are here. If you can take a look at them now." Shivaay suggested from his place.
"That would be great, the whole family would get to know too." Omkara spoke.
"Sure." Gauri spoke and Shivaay passed his mobile to Gauri as he opened the pdf for her.
Gauri took the phone and read through the reports. She furrowed her eyebrows as she read the reports. An actual medical sheet of paper apart from those of Lucas' reports had fallen in her hands after 3 straight years. It almost felt surreal. After observing the picture for about a minute she turned the screen so that everyone could see.
"In this 10 weeks pregnant ultrasound, your baby has body parts and you can see them pretty clear. You can see their arms and legs forming, the toes and fingers The baby's organs have started functioning too." she said with a smile seeing the picture. "All of your other levels look great too, so di, you're doing great." Gauri explained as she showed the ultrasound picture to everyone on the breakfast table. Every member of the family was watching the dark ultrasound picture in awe while Omkara kept watching Gauri in awe, which she noticed and had a large flutter of butterflies in her stomach.

"Although, I'd like to warn you guys about something." Gauri said, changing her tone in a serious manner.
"What's wrong?" Shivaay asked, getting tensed immediately as everyone else too felt something was seriously wrong as their heartbeats raised.
"All of you are going to have to be ready for a lot of mood swings now." Gauri said in her serious tone and their faces immediately lit up.
"God, you scared us for a minute there." Jhanvi aunty said as everyone released a breath.
They laughed it off and everyone enjoyed their breakfast.
