Gauri woke up to sun rays hitting her face. She stirred a bit in the bed and slowly opened her eyes. She turned to see beside her if Om was still sleeping but he wasn't on the bed. She looked around for a bit and then saw the bathroom door open. Om came out from the bathroom, towel tied to his waist completely showing off his v-line. He had just showered and Gauri couldn't keep her eyes off of him.
"Like the view?" Om asked, smirking as he saw her staring at him.
"Nothing I couldn't get used to." Gauri replied smiling.
Om smiled and gave her a quick peck on the lips and wished her good morning. Gauri got up from the bed, wearing Om's t-shirt and hurried into the bathroom. She came out after showering only to see Om already in his formal clothes.
"Leaving so soon? It's Saturday." Gauri asked, confused.
"Shivaay called. There is some issue in the office that I need to look into. Breakfast is ready for you. I am sorry, but I really need to leave." Om said picking up his car keys and hurrying out of the door.
Gauri scrunched her nose a bit but then let it go. She had her breakfast and went back to her apartment. It had been 5 hours since Om had left so she decided to go and check on him.
She picked up coffee for them and drove to his office.
Gauri's Pov:
I picked up his favorite flavor of coffee and drove to his office. I entered the building to see chaos there. It usually wasn't like this, it always was a calm and disciplined place. Maybe the issue was too big.I entered Om's cabin and saw him tired and irritated.
"Hey, you alright?" I asked as I went towards him.
"Gauri? What are you doing here?" he asked me.
"I thought of coming and helping you out if I can." I told him, handing him the coffee.
"It's good actually that you're here. Do you know this man?" Om said, as he pointed towards a man sitting on the couch that was behind me.
"Mr. West? What are you doing here?" I was surprised to see him there.
"You really know him?" Om asked, surprised.
"Yeah, he was my patient. I got him discharged a few weeks back." I told him.
"I told you Mr. Oberoi. She knows everything." Mr. West told Om.
"Excuse me? What do I know?" I asked.
Om just kept looking at me, it was something I would enjoy anytime, except this time he looked at me with an expression I couldn't make out.
"Am I missing something?" I asked.
"How familiar are you about Mr. West?" Om asked me.
"Define familiar?" I asked.
"Not medically, otherwise." Om told me.
"He works in a company that has something to do with businesses. Uh, he told me that was an investor or something like that." I said trying to remember what Mr. West had told me when he was a patient.
"Did you ever talk to him about us?" Om asked me.
What was happening here?
"Us?" I asked, not understanding what exactly he was referring to.
"Oberoi's." Om confirmed.
"I told him that the hospital was under your trust. Why?" I asked.
"He has some information about us that nobody knows. He's saying that you provided it to him." Om said.
