Third person's pov:
The ceremony came to an end and everyone was leaving. The newly wed couple had left the venue in Gauri's vintage car. Gauri, Lucas, Priyanka, Rudra and Om were now left at the venue.
"Have you talked to him yet?" Priyanka asked Gauri hesitantly.
Everyone was cleaning the venue.
"No." Gauri said a bit harshly.
"I'm really sorry, I tried to talk Rudra out of it." Priyanka apologised.
"You've said that already and a little head start would have been nice." She said harshly again and Priyanka was actually very guilty right now.
Looking at Priyanka's miserable face Gauri cracked up.
"I'm so sorry, but look at your face! I was joking around with you. It's not your fault it's alright. But, yeah a little headstart would seriously have been nice." Gauri said laughing.
"You bitch! You scared me for a minute there." Priyanka exclaimed and hugged Gauri.
"You have to talk to him you know?" Priyanka reminded Gauri once again.
"I know. But, the thought of having a normal conversation right this moment is--different." Gauri said quietly as she continued her work.
Pov ends.
Gauri's pov:
I know I have to go and talk to him now that he is here, but what do I talk about?
Hey Omkara! How's the weather in New York?
Ugh this is torture.
I decided to just go and start a random conversation, come what may.
You can do it, Gauri.
You can do it.
No you can't! Damn it!
Yes, you can, coward ass!
Finally after losing myself to my other self in my little mental battle I decided to go and talk to him.
Here goes nothing.
I turned around to go talk to him but instead bumped into him.
Nice work Gauri!
"Hi" he said nervously.
"Hi." I said with a faint smile.
"It's good to see you after so many years." He said.
Is it?
"Hmm." was all I replied.
Well, I wasn't exactly all rainbows and butterflies seeing him after 3 years as he had ruined my life.
"How's work?" he and I asked together.
"Nice"
"Wonderful." he replied with an unusual smile.
Wonderful is it now?
"I actually got wonderful news today." he said.
Stop with the word 'wonderful'!
"That's great." I said giving the faintest of all my smiles I had in store and I was about to go away when he pitched in that one thing that I didn't want to talk about.
"You're married." he said the dreaded truth, it was more of a statement than a question.
Bloody hell!
