Gauri and Omkara were driven to the hospital and a feeling of heaviness filled Omkara's heart. He had promised Gauri that he would help her, but how was he going to watch her take care of Lucas, her husband. Hoping he would be able to cope up with the feeling, he decided to shrug it off and take upon the situation when he'd actually have to face it.

While all Gauri felt was a feeling of panic of what she'd see and get to know once she'd reach the hospital.

As the car stopped at the hospital, Gauri clutched the hem of her shirt tightly as panic washed over her. Suddenly, she felt someone's hand wrap around hers. She looked around her hand to see that Omkara had put his hands on hers to comfort her and it was a miracle to notice that her heartbeat had actually somewhat come to normal.

"It's going to be alright. I'm sure." Omkara spoke with the most gentle voice.

"How are you so sure?" Gauri asked, almost wincing.

"He's a lucky guy. He's got an amazing daughter and he's got you by his side." Om said as he tried to comfort her but it was pretty hard for him to hide the pain he was going through right now.

Gauri could feel his pain and guilt penetrating her through his eyes. She sent him a faint smile and the car stopped. Gauri and Omkara rushed out of the car and reached the receptionist.

"Room number for Mr. Lucas James" Gauri spoke hurriedly.

"And you are?" the receptionist asked with an interest the size of an ant.

"I am his wife. Now please, give me his room number." Gauri ordered and the receptionist frowned upon her face.

"Third floor, ICU. Room number 402." Gauri and Omkara were informed and saying their thank you's they left for the third floor.

As Gauri and Omkara reached the third floor Gauri noticed Stephanie and Jack sitting there, while Stephanie appeared to be hugging someone.

"Steph..." Gauri called out as she reached Stephanie but as soon as she gave a look she saw a devastated Caroline wrapped tightly around Stephaine by her waist.

"Gauri!" Caroline spoke squeakily as she managed to voice. Caroline looked exhausted, scared, petrified.

"I'm so sorry. I didn't know what to do, dad started shaking and- and all I could think of was to call 911. I'm so scared, Gauri. Please save dad." Caroline said as she released herself from Stephanie and wrapped herself around Gauri so tightly, as if her life depended on it.

Gauri instinctively held Caroline close to herself and rubbed her back to cool her down.

"It's alright. It's gonna be okay, alright? I'm here. You did good by calling 911 in time. Okay? It's gonna be alright." Gauri continued to rub Caroline's back as Omkara, Stephanie and Jack kept looking at the emotional pair.

"Where is he right now?" Gauri asked in a low voice as she was still getting Caroline's blood pressure down.

"He was out of surgery a few hours ago but they took him inside again." Stephaine informed Gauri, as Jack got water for everyone.

"Caroline, have you eaten anything since all...this?" Omkara asked Caroline, caringly.

Caroline shook her head, while still hanging onto Gauri.

"I've been trying to take her home for some rest, but she wouldn't budge." Jack said as Stephanie and Omkara sat on the waiting chairs.

"Care, you should go home. You need the rest." Gauri tried to convince Caroline.

"No. I am not going anywhere! You know what happened when I went back home when mom was in hospital. I didn't get to say my goodbye. All I want is my dad back." Caroline chastised in between her sobs.
