chapter twelve ;; i'll wait for you

Geez, talk about a hit and run.

"What do you mean 'leave the village'?" Masagi raised an eyebrow.

"I wanna train. I want real life experience. We could be ten times better than we would be if we were to stay here the entire time."

"I second that." Inochi chipped in. "There's not much to do here, and if we get hands on training, it'll make us smarter and we'll know what to do in certain situations where normal shinobi who never left their village for a long period of time wouldn't."

"I third that!" Toshiro came stumbling in. "I wanna leave just because."

"Uh... I don't know. What if your brother comes back? He can't live by himself here."

"Obviously, he can. If he's been gone for this long, we can leave him for a little while. It's just to get stronger."

"Yeah, and if we put ourselves in life threatening situations, we'll get experience like real shinobi do."

"You don't think you're a real shinobi?"

"Not really."

"Yeah, these low ranked missions are killing me. My boob fell out during our last mission." Inochi sulked.

"Your what?" Haruka laughed.

"My water balloon!"

"Okay, okay. How do you plan to put yourself in life threatening situations?"

"Like an Anbu! We can get a bingo book! It's just like real missions, plus we get more money!" You insisted.

"I see. So if you do end up getting killed, what'll happen?"

"You're gonna have to move on without me. But that's only in the extremely rare case that does happen, 'cause I'm not dying easily."

"See! That's the mindset of a true shinobi."

"A-And... I wanna go... where ever big sis wants to go—!" Saya spoke.

"Well then. I guess we can't disagree now. The four of them are nothing against us." Haruka smiled. "And it's not that bad of an idea, either."

Masagi sighed. "Fine. If you guys pack up everything you need and say your goodbyes by tomorrow morning, we'll go."

The four of you couldn't help but start celebrating. Though, you'd realized you still had somewhere to go.

"I really have to go. I'll pack my stuff up later, promise." You said, looking at the pocket watch and realizing you only had five minutes left.

"I'm going!" Toshiro insisted.

"Then, I'm going, too."

"I-I wanna go, only because she's going!" Saya ran to you, hugging your leg.

"Let's go. We only have five minutes left. Don't do anything while we're gone."

"What's that supposed to mean?" Masagi raised a brow.

"She means don't have s—."

"Sake! Don't have sake while we're gone. If we, um... if we come back, we wouldn't want you to be drunk. Right? Right. Okay, let's go, we're wasting time!" Inochi pushed you, Toshiro, and Saya outside before they could say anything else.
