Chapter 18: Our First Date

Kim's POV

Garroth and I are supposed to be going on a date later today! We had already left the get together to get ready. What am I going to wear?!

"Relax Kim. It's just a date.", Ghost said.

"Say's the one who does have to change her clothes ever."

"I'll pick out your outfit just to make you go faster. What about..., that one!", Ghost said taking up a Lime green knee length dress with ruffled sleeves and then white high heel sandals.

"Perfect! Thanks Ghost!"

"Yeah, yeah. See even dead people can have style. Now hurry up and get dressed! Garroth will be here in the next hour.", I nodded at went to change. I didn't bother to put on makeup because Garroth said nothing to fancy. I grabbed my grey cardigan and just then the door rang.

"Okay Kim! It's go time. Don't worry I'll stay silent the entire date. Now go!", Ghost said.

"Okay.", I opened the door to see Garroth in a blue polo shirt and black jeans.

"Wow! You look great Kimmy!", Garroth said making me blush.

"So do you. Shall we get going?", I asked.

"Yep.", he said as I took his arm and wrap mine around it.

We walked to the park when I found that he set up a picnic. It was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. It had fairy lights in some of the trees around and a red and white blanket checkered blanket.

"Like it?", he asked.

"Garroth, it's-it's beautiful!", I exclaimed.

"I hoped you would like it. Have a seat madame.", he did a little bow and gestured to the blanket. I laughed.

We talked for what seemed like hours about stuff and learning more about each other. Turns out that after learning even more about him, he seemed even better. We heard a splash in the water and turned to see two swans playing to together.

"Wow, they're beautiful.", I murmured.

"Yeah, but not as much as you.", he said, this caused me to blush once again.

We were now further into the night and Garroth said he wanted to show me something. He put a blind fold over my eyes and lead me somewhere. When my eyes were uncovered We were under a cherry tree and the moon light seemed to hit it perfectly. The blossoms fell down some on Garroth head so I brushed it off.

"Wow."

"This isn't all I wanted to show you. Look up. Every Valentine's day it happens.", he says. I look up and see fireworks light up the sky making all sort of shapes and words.

My mouth hung open while I watch causing Garroth to laugh a little. I looked at him and smiled, "Thank you Garroth. For tonight. It was the most magical night ever."

"No problem Kimmy.", he smiled back.

We walked back home and when we reached my door I did something I never thought of doing. I turned around and Garroth asked, "Anything wrong Kimmy?"

I tippy toed to his cheek and kissed it and then ran inside leaving him awestruck. I looked out my window to see him blushing madly and doing a little dance to himself causing me to giggle. I went to prepare for bed and laid there thinking, 'Best Valentine's day ever!'
