Chapter 2: The Voice

Aphmau's POV

I searched the entire room, still nothing. "Travis if you don't come out I'm taking you entire secret stash of tacos!"

Still nothing. Maybe he had been called down to the doctor's office also. I check down there in the many offices still nothing. I went up to his room again and checked my room to see if he would be there. Just when I was coming out of my room I saw Travis coming down the hallway with something in his hands.

"Travis!", I called out.

"Oh hey Aphmau!"

"Is that..., a taco. So I've been looking all over the place for you and you were at a taco stand!?", I questioned.

"Yep!"

"Where did you even find one!"

"Just a few feet away from here next to the Ferris wheel.", he said and I face palmed.

"Oh hey Aphmau, by the way we're leaving here earlier than we thought.", he told me.

"Huh?"

"They said that if we finish the test before the leaving date and the results are okay we can leave earlier.", he said with excitement in his voice.

"Really!", the doctor must have forgotten to tell me that part, "But..., when we get back he still won't remember...", I said tears starting to fill my eyes.

"Aph, you yourself said not to worry. I'm sure that everything will work out in the end. I mean, nothing and I mean nothing has kept you two away from each other and be able to find a way back."

I sniffed and said, "Thanks Travis"

"No prob. Now I think we should get to bed then sooner we finish these tests the faster we can get home. Oh and don't worry about your alarm clock, I got a new one for you. Cya Aph!", he said walking away.

"He's right! As soon as we finish and we get home there's no stopping me from getting Aaron memory back! But what if he already found someone else to love and he never remembers me! BWAH!" I said to myself while plopping myself on the bed. I NEED to stop second guessing myself!

Travis' POV

After leaving Aphmau to herself to get rest I went to my room to do the same. After I closed the door I hear a familiar voice call my name, "Hey Travis."

It was the same voice that helped Katelyn and I get past the GF guards when we were trying to get back to our previous villa on Starlight.

"Huh, oh it's you again. Whatever you say I'm not listening. Last time I did that let's just say it didn't end well.", I told it while walking over to my dresser and picking out the clothes for tomorrow, a green plain shirt and a blue jeans pants.

"When since are you one to judge people? I was just stopping by to say hi.", the voice said.

I sighed, "Hi, nice to talk to you again, you can go away now."

"Whatever, I'm just going to say nice job in talking to our friend back there, you didn't even need my help. You know I was scared you were going to say something stupid."

I just rolled my eyes, "Okay, are you done now?"

"Nope! What happened here Travis, with all you friends is only the start of your future.", he said in a less playful tone now.

"Oh that's great, we'll be having lots of fun in the years to come I'm sure."

"No not what I meant. I want to wa-", he was cut off by a knock at my door.

"Hello?", I asked answering it, I saw a woman with blonde hair that looked about in her thirties in a lab uniform, "Can I help you?"

"Yes, I just came up to tell you your first test will be tomorrow morning at ten a.m. The rest of the tests that you have the following weeks are on the paper."

"Umm..., Thanks."

"Yes, now good day.", she said while I closed the door.

I looked down the paper she gave me looking at the schedule. I had three tests tomorrow, two before and one after lunch. I let out a sigh.

C'mon Travis, just get this over with and you'll be able to see your friends and Katelyn again. You just have to deal with all the poking and prying all over your body for the next couple of weeks.
