Chapter 71: Magic

Lucinda's POV

The sun shone on my face and I opened my eyes slowly to look around my surroundings. I was in my room, oh how I missed it and my bed. After Garte came in last yesterday and I set up his room I went straight to bed because I was so tired. I sat up in my bed and smelt the sweet aroma of bacon and eggs. I got up and went over to my drawer to get my clothes. I took out an orange off the shoulder shirt with black jeans. As I closed the dresser I accidentally knocked over a glass cup of water I had on it. I reached out my hand in attempt to catch it but missed. I closed my eyes and waited for the sound of glass shattering. It never came.

"Huh?", I questioned as I slowly opened my eyes.

I saw the cup levitating in mid-air. I took the cup then remembered...

"I GOT MY MAGIC BACK!", I exclaimed happily, raising my hand in the air.

I forgot it had water in it and most of the water that was in it fell on me drenching my hair. Not a problem though because, I got magic! I put the cup down and flicked my finger round and my hair instantly dried. I went over to my closet and got out my black shoes and went downstairs smiling brightly while humming.

"Good morning. I didn't expect you to be up already.", Garte greeting.

"Morning. Yeah, my sleeping schedule changed a bit since we got back.", I said still smiling.

Garte put some food on two placed then place both on the table in front of the chairs. We both sat down and I began to eat.

"You seem cheerful today. I heard you shout something from upstairs.", he commented as he saw me enjoying my food.

I swallowed then said, "Yeah, I'm extra happy cause I finally have my magic back.", I continued to smile.

"That's great.", he said then began eating again.

"Mhm, so today Kim, Ghost and I are going to try figure out how to get Zianna, Zane and Garroth memory about you back.", I looked back up at him after eating another slice of bacon.

He looked up and smiled, "Really?"

"Yes really. But I also want to ask Aph about something.", I whispered the last part.

I got up and put my plate in the sink then went upstairs to brush my teeth, get some magic equipment, and texted Kim that I was coming over. After I came back downstairs and Garte was going to wash the dishes.

"Don't bother.", I said and flicked my finger again to clean the dishes.

And just as I wanted, it happened. I missed this SO much I walked out the house and went over to Kim's place. I rang the doorbell twice then she came down.

"Hey Lucinda!", Kim greeted me.

"Hey Kim.", I waved.

Her face looked like it was bursting with excitement, "I can't believe you finally got you magic back! See, I told you it would come back!"

I rolled my eyes playfully and said, "Whatever you say Kim."

"So, let's get started then!", she smiled and ushered me inside.

We sat on the couch and a thought came to mind and I decided to share it with Kim and Ghost.

"Ghost, you said you heard of that type of magic before, the one used to alter someone memory, do you know how long it lasts for?", I asked.

"Hmm...", Ghost put her hand on her chin in thought, "I remember it happening to an old friend of mine. It can last forever, but... if the caster of the spell loses focus the victim will remember...I think.", she mumbled the last part.

"Okay then. Well, we won't know if that has worked until we ask them first.", I said to them.

"Yeah, but Ghost, are we really going to ignore the fact that you remembered more when you met Alina at the void dimension?", Kim spoke up.

"Wait, what? She did?", I questioned.

"Yeah, I did. I just remembered her.", Ghost said.

"You know a bit more than that, don't you.", Kim said.

"Maybe..."

"Tell us Ghost, please.", Kim asked.

"It was just about Alina, and...her parents."

"Again with her parents. It's so confusing.", Kim said.

I just sat there trying to process what exactly went on in the void.

"What about her parents?", I asked.

"I have no clue. When Aaron and Melissa back on the street, Aaron met Alina in a dream and she said something about, seeing her parents happy and called Aaron her dad.", Kim explained, "And Alina was also there when Aph died. Then we met her in the void when we went to save Kawaii~chan and Zane and she said the same thing about seeing her parents happy."

"...okay then?", I commented.

"Ghost also said before we left to save them about our worlds being more alike than we think.", Kim continued.

"You know I can talk for myself.", Ghost said.

"Yeah, but you might just leave something out.", Kim responded.

Hmm..., I still don't understand completely, "So Ghost's from another word like ours?"

"Yeah, seems so.", Kim said, "Lets head on over to the guys house to see if Zane remembers Garte.", she changed the subject.

"And so that you can-"

"Shut up Ghost! Let's go Lucinda!", Kim said and we walked out the house to Zane, Laurance's and Garroth's house.
