Chapter 64

Katelyn's POV:

I ran out of the room running towards the exit. Everything was a blur was I ran by it. Dust blew in my face as another gust of wind blew through the building causing me to close my eyes and try to get the dust out as I ran. I kept running until I bumped into something.

"Gah!", I exclaimed and I fell on the ground. I looked up and saw Derek. He offered his hand towards me helping me up.

"Katelyn! Where's Travis?", he asked.

I looked down towards the ground then looked back up, "We need to get help."

"Oh..., let's go find the others.", He said and we ran towards the exit.

"There they are!", I heard one of the henchmen call out. He stepped in our way but I pushed him away and ran through the door shutting it behind us.

We both panted and we leaned against the door.

"What do we do now?", I asked quietly still panting.

We heard helicopter blades and engines in the distance and saw their outline as they flew towards the building from before.

"Finally. We need to get the reverse potion for Lucinda and help your friend Travis.", Derek said and I nodded.

We walked towards the direction the others went in hoping they had any luck with the potions.

We ran through the forest calling their names. We finally found them when they started calling back.

"We finally found you! Where's...", Aphmau trailed off and looked down.

"Yeah..., Wait a sec. Kawaii~chan! You're alive!", I shouted and hugged her tightly.

"And I'm here too. Welcome back to me.", Zane said rolling his eyes.

"And this doofus too!", I said punching his arm playfully, "Anyway, do you guys have the potions?", I turned to Aph.

"Yes. Here you go.", she said handing me a bag.

Then I noticed a wolf behind them, I raised my eyebrow.

"Don't worry, it's just Garroth. We'll explain later.", Kim said.

"Okay then. Oh and the GF are here. We saw the helicopters.", I said again.

"Great! Wait..., that means that someone has to go back again to the building and bring them here.", Aph stated.

"I'll go and get them. You kids keep them busy.", Derek said and ran off.

"Okay. Let's get going!", I said and we felt for the building.

When we got there we saw Lucinda searching the area for us. I looked back behind me and Garroth was nowhere in sight. I turned my attention back to Lucinda. We crouched behind a bush and planned out what we were doing. Laurance and Kim would take care of Lucinda and Lily while Aph, Aaron, Kawaii~chan and Zane would stall Elizabeth. I would try snap Travis out of it. I handed Kim the bag of potions then she and Laurance went to Lucinda and Lily and distracted them while we snuck inside.

We found the room from before and Travis and Elizabeth were there. They turned around and a scowl was on Elizabeth's face when she saw us.

"Hey~ Katelyn. Come back to play?", Travis smirked.

"Yep!", Aph said purposely knocking potions of a self, "Woops, I'm such a clutz."

"Why you little brat! And you two! Aren't you supposed to be dead?!", she pointed to Zane and Kawaii~chan.

"Yeah, but we didn't want to so...", Zane mocked.

"You two get them. I'll handle my daughter.", She said to her henchmen and they went after them leaving me alone with Travis and Elizabeth.

This was not how it was supposed to happen. She was supposed to go after the others while she left me with Travis.

"Hello again sweetheart. Do you really think I'm that stupid. I would have thought you got my smarts but I must have been wrong.", Elizabeth said slightly smiling and Travis stood there with his sword ready to attack.

"I'm not you're anything! And you're right I didn't get you're smarts, because if I did I'd be as dumb as a rock.", I spat back.

"Don't you know you're supposed to respect your elders.", she snarled.

"I wasn't insulting you. I was describing you. Now let my friend go!"

"Of course. I'll let him go teach you a lesson in respect.", she said and ran up to a stairway to go to the balcony so she could watch the fight about to happen.

I looked away from her and back to Travis. We walked towards me with his sword drawn out. "You know I wish it didn't have to be this way Katelyn. All you had to do was chose the right side.", he said smirking still.

"It doesn't have to."

"So you're surrendering then. Great!"

"No I'm not! I'm here to get my boyfriend back!"

Travis laughed to himself then spoke again, "Do you really think your friend is still there?"

"Yes I do, and I know that he's still fighting to take control back."

"I'll make sure he can't then.", his smirk grew even bigger and he swung him sword at my neck.

I ducked down, the blade cutting off the tips of my hair. I got up and kicked him in the shin which caused him to growl.

"Do you really think hurting your little friend is the best thing to do?"

"No but it's helping at least.", I said went I saw his eyes turn green for a small second.

He looked down for a minute as if consulting something. I took this as my moment and trying to get close to him, but in return he grabbed me by the neck and started choking me.

"Ha-ha.", he laughed to himself again, "At least your little boyfriend can see you take your final breath.", he smiled evilly.
