Chapter 66

Laurance's POV:

The other's went inside the building and Kim and I were standing in front of Lily and Lucinda.

"Ugh, you again.", Lily said pointing to Kim.

"Yes, me again.", She said in response then turned to me and whispered, "Just try get the potion of Lucinda, I'll handle her.", I nodded and turned back to face them.

Kim ran towards Lily turning her attention from both of us to only her. Lily took out potions and began to pursue Kim. One of the potions that she threw missed and caught a bush on fire which immediately turned into ashes. Now, it was just me and Lucinda. She made the first move and fired at me with the staff. I dodged ran towards her trying to get close, but every time I was even in range to use the potion she would use a spell to push me away.

"Lucinda I know that you're in there. Just fight the potion for one minute please!", I pleaded as I began to advance to towards her again.

She shook her head, "No can do. Your friend can't come out right now. Your pathetic plea is useless."

"The Lucinda I know would never want to hurt anyone.", I said dodging another one of her beams.

"Well I'm not her!", She said missing again, "And I can bet that your only trying to save me because I'm a threat to you now."

I was finally close enough to her and I pinned her to the ground and we were face to face.

"Yes you are her. And that's why I'm not giving up. I'm not trying to save her because you're a threat to me, but because she's my friend and I care about her."

"G-get off me.", She said struggling to get out of my grip. I saw her eyes flash a blue colour then back to her red. She closed her eyes and stopped trying to wiggle way from me. I looked at her in desperate hope that the potion had worn off.

"Lucinda?"

"Hmm? Laurance...", she said. I got off of her and sat beside her as she held her head because of a headache. When she stopped doing that she suddenly hugged me and I nearly fell backwards.

"Thank you.", She whispered.

"For what? I didn't do anything."

"For not giving up on me."

"I would never, not even in a thousand years.", I said hugging her back.

Lily's POV:

I followed Kim into the forest, determined to put a stop to this foolishness. I was not going to let her ruin my plans again.

"Come out. Come out where-ever you are.", I cooed.

I had lost sight of her and I felt my temper grow again. Where was Garroth when I needed him?! I took out an orange potion that had a fiery aura to it. I began throwing it at bushes that she may be hiding behind, turning it into ashes. I did almost all of the bushes in the small area I was in and still nothing. I moved on quietly into another area. I peered through bushes and through one I saw Kim just a couple of feet away from me. She didn't see me as her back was turned to me. I took out another one of the fire potions and began working out my aim for Kim, who still had not seen me.

Finally, my time for revenge has come. I was about to throw the potion when something pounced on me making me drop the potion on the bush I was hiding behind causing in to disintegrate into ashes.

"Gah!", I exclaimed closing my eyes then covered my mouth because Kim would now know I'm here. I opened my eyes to see Garroth stand on top of me.

"H-hey.", I stuttered when I saw that his eyes were blue again, "Y-our not still mad about, me killing your brother and friend, r-right?"

He growled and me then looked up in the direction that Kim was before. She came running through the remaining bushes and smiled.

"Hey. Umm..., You know all those times I-"

"Tried to ruin my life? Yes I do.", Kim cut me off.

"Yeah. I was just joking. You know that.", I try getting up from underneath Garroth but he growled, making me stay in place.

He looked up back up at Kim and she took of her backpack and took out a rope. Then She began walking towards me. I heard helicopters rutters and voices in the distance, I instantly knew who it was.

"Nope! I'm not going back!", I said and pushed Garroth off.

"C'mon! We got to get her!", I heard Kim say to Garroth as I ran away.

I pushed through the brush and moved farther away from Kim and where I think the police where coming from. The branches of trees rubbed against my already dirty shirt making it worse and some leaves and twigs got tangled in my hair, pulling on it every once and a while. The ground was still moist and when I looked behind me I saw my footprints in the mud. Great, now they definitely are gonna find me. A fallen tree was in my way and I jumped over it but failed when my foot got caught on it.

I fell face forward into the mud. Ugh, and I liked this outfit too. I pushed myself up from the ground with my arms and quickly swiped the mud from my face.

"I think I heard something over there!", I heard a voice say. It didn't belong to Kim's so it's got to be the police.

I got off the ground and started running again. I've come to far to go to prison! I finally found a clearing and stopped in the middle to breathe. I looked around, just you're everyday forest clearing. The sky looked like it was getting ready for another down pour and I could hear the distant claps of thunder in the distance. I heard voices again and decided it was time to run again. I ran forward towards the dense forest again but was stopped by Garroth.

Oh no, I forgot about him.

he stepped forward, growled, and stalked closer. The voices became clearer and I knew it was only an amount of time until they caught up. Garroth knew this too and sort of smirked. I stood up taller and decided to try use what I got to get out of this mess.

"You are supposed to be mine! I demand that you stop trying to attack me and go defend me!"

He just growled back in response and came closer to me. I stepped backwards and tripped over MY OWN feet! Garroth jumped on top of me, his front paws on my stomach. The voices came closer and I began to panic.

"Get off of me you mutt!", I shouted and tried kicking him off but that only made Garroth growl louder.

"I am now seeing the mistake of some of my actions.", I muttered under my breath.

"Over here!", the voice said again. About five officers in outfit's different than the police's came out of the forest and into the clearing.

Just then Kim came running through the bushes. "Garroth! You can't just run off like- oh, you found her.", She said panting. Garroth came off me and went over to her sitting by her side.

I attempted to stand up but one of the officers shouted, "Don't move! Lily Garcia, You're under arrest! Stand down and we won't have to do anything extreme!", he pointed his gun towards me.

"Well, I think this is already extreme.", I mumbled and knelt down with my hands behind my head, still facing Kim who was patting Garroth's head.

Two of the officers came over and handcuffed me then pulled me up into a standing position.

"Thank-you ma'am for your help. The rest of our team should be with your friends now.", the officer said to Kim.

She nodded was we walked away but then she spoke again, "Wait! What about Garroth?!"

"That's your problem now sweet-heart. You wanted him, so now you deal with it.", I smirked and they took me away to their helicopter.
