Chapter 75: Not-A-Lone-Buddies

Travis' POV:

I was at Katelyn's house making sure that she was okay from yesterday. She went to the kitchen to make strawberry puffs and I was in the living room so I decided to make sure that the demon warlock was gone for good. I closed my eyes and then when I reopened them I was in the black void place.

"Hey, Travis.", I voice behind me said.

I turned around and saw my other. I went up to him and hugged him.

"Thank Irene you're ok.", I said.

"Of course I'm ok. Did you really think that some demon could get rid of me that easily.", he said as we broke out of the hug.

"No, but I'm just glad you're okay."

"Same for you. You don't think that the GF will have to take us back to their headquarters for investigating, do you?"

"I hope not. Not looking forward to spending another six months from everyone again.", I said.

He nodded, "Well, you're time here is going to be cut short, you're girlfriend's calling you.", he said.

"Really? Oh well, cya."

"Oh and, sorry for getting you into so much trouble at Starlight."

"That's in the past now. Bye.", I said as I disappeared into the void.

I opened my eyes and heard Katelyn calling my name. I saw her walk to the front down mumbling to herself.

"Now what did I do?", I mumbled to myself and got up to see what the problem was.

I went to the door and saw her hugging someone. They parted and when I saw you it was my jaw dropped. It was Kai.

"Oh hey Travis. Long-time no see.", Kai greeted me.

"Yeah, and it would have been great if it stayed that way.", I mumbled the last part.

Katelyn ushered him in and closed the front door. Kai went to sitting on the couch in front of the Tv on the left side and I went on the right side. Katelyn said that she would be right back and left us two to talk or whatever she thought we would be doing.

"So, how have things been? I haven't seen you since Starlight", Kai asked.

"Umm...," I started to think about all the stuff that happened in just the few months I got back.

"Weren't you there for the whole summer?", I asked.

"No. After the fundraiser I left. Then I heard about the Ultima there and I was just curious about it since you and Katelyn were there also.", he told me.

"Oh, umm, yeah. The news was just exaggerating the truth. There was no Ultima.", I said and turned my attention to the TV.

"Really?"

"Yes. They just received false information..., that costed many lives.", I said mumbling the last part. Then the doorbell rang.

"Thank Irene.", I said under my breath and went to answer the door.

As I opened I saw that it was Eric.

"Oh hi Katelyn's dad.", I said letting him in.

"Pff. You're my sugar peas boyfriend, you can call me Eric.", he said.

"O-oh yeah.", I said and went back to sit on the couch.

"Hi dad!", Katelyn said hugging her father.

"Hi sugar pea! I just came over to came sure everything was okay and no funny business was going on.", he said looking at me.

I looked away and started fiddling with my thumbs.
