TONI DIDN'T WANT TO DO. Valentine's Day was around the corner, and Toni hadn't asked Cheryl out on a date. She knew that her friends were all waiting for her to do so that they all could go to the movies, but Toni couldn't bring herself to do without stammering and blushing like crazy.

Her friends reassured her that everything will be okay and that Cheryl would say yes—like how do they know?! For all Toni knows that Cheryl is going to kindly reject her, then boom! There goes their friendship, which Toni cherishes more than all, down the drain.

Speaking of Cheryl Blossom, the girl lately seemed in the thoughts like she was thinking about doing something. What is that something? It could be anything, but all Toni knew that it had to do with her as the redhead's gaze always landed back on her.

Toni hated this. She really wanted to ask Cheryl out on a date—it was always something that she wanted to do—and heard the word, yes. But the feeling of rejection devoured Toni's soul, and she didn't want Cheryl to reject her because that's going to be awkward.

"How do you even know that she's going to reject you?" Asked Daisy, raising an eyebrow. "Huh? You don't know."

She and Daisy were talking in the library of Riverdale High Academy—they both had study hall together, and Toni had decided to hang out with Daisy.

Toni frowned at Daisy's words and shook her head. She sighed, "Well, how do you know that she isn't going to reject me? Huh?"

Daisy's eyes widened, and she glanced away, messing with her pencil. Toni watched as Daisy opened her mouth then closed it—debating whether to tell or keep quiet. She raised an eyebrow.

Daisy sighed, "Toni, you just got to stop being a pessimist and look at the bright sides of things."

"What's there to look at on the bright side of things?" Frowned Toni, resting her hand on her hand.

"Well, if you do ask her out on a date," Said Daisy, "You guys might start becoming more than friends and everything that you daydream about might be real."

Toni didn't say anything and instead bit her lips, messing with her hoodie strings. Out of the corner of her eyes, she could see Daisy sit up in her chair and clasped her hands.

"Toni, your choice in asking her or not does change everything," Said Daisy carefully. "For all we know, if you don't ask her out—you might have missed out of the love of your life. We don't know. You just have to roll the dice."

"And what happens if Cheryl does reject me?" Asked Toni, not knowing if she wanted to know that answer.

"Then, she isn't the one and there's always going to be someone else out for you," Said Daisy, then said, "I don't think Cheryl would reject you, Toni."
