TONI WASN'T AT SCHOOL, WHICH WORRIED CHERYL as Toni wasn't at their usual spot where they would meet up during lunch-the art room. The art room was their sacred place where they could just be themselves.  Cheryl and Toni had been hanging out together as Cheryl wasn't sitting with her usual group of friends-the Gems as they only talked about boys, and boys didn't really interest her.

And during lunch, Freya is always snorting up cocaine at the back of the school. While Stella would sit in the bathroom stall, Cheryl tried to get her out of the bathroom, but Stella didn't budge.

So, in a summary of Cheryl's "popular" life, she was friendless. She always had a friend even if it was just one real friend, but now, she had none. But then there was Toni, who Cheryl didn't want to say as it would be rude but also friendless too, so they kinda clicked in a sort of way.

Anyways, they would sneak in during lunch, and Toni would show a piece of her artwork to Cheryl, who wanted to show the entire school the masterpiece that Toni had made, but she knows she couldn't. Toni never misses a day of school, and it wasn't like anyone knew as Toni was an outcast here at Riverdale High Academy, which sucks as she was a pretty (cool) person to hang out with.

She sighed as Cheryl closed the art room door behind her, knowing too well that Toni wasn't going to show up. Cheryl sighed and clutched the strings of her backpack, walking back to the cafeteria-probably going to hang out in the library when she heard her name being called. She stopped and frowned, turning around.

Something within her eyes lightens when she sees Daisy running toward her before faltering as the echoes of her high heels ring throughout the empty hallway. Her revealing dress slapped against her skin as she ran, her face was barely recognizable with the amount of makeup on it.

Cheryl wanted to walk away, but she couldn't. It was like her feet were stuck on the ground, making her unable to move from Daisy Keene, who caught up with her.

"Cheryl!" Daisy smiled as she looked at her best friend, then frowned. "Are you okay?"

"Ye-yeah," Said Cheryl non-chant. "Um yes, I am!"

Cheryl shot her a convincing smile that she used on her parents and teachers when she was sad, but it didn't wipe off Daisy's frown. Instead, she pouted at Cheryl. "Cher! I know you, way better than that! That smile isn't going to work on me! Something is up!"

She shook her head stubbornly and continued walking down the hallway toward the cafeteria. "It's nothing!"

"You're my best friend! I know things!" Sighed Daisy, and she grabbed Cheryl's hand, turning her around. "You can't lie to me, Cheryl."

They were face to face and Cheryl didn't want to, her face was red from how close her lips were to Daisy but she was angry. Cheryl was never the type to be angry but something within her wanted to slap Daisy.

She didn't get how she couldn't lie to Dais,  but Daisy could. Cheryl couldn't say she was fine without Daisy wanting to help her, but when she wanted to help Daisy, Daisy would just curse her out and yelled at her. Cheryl couldn't even look at Daisy's hazel eyes.

"What is it?" Asked Daisy softly, her eyebrow furrowing. "You know, you can tell me?"

"Are we still best friends-am I still your best friend? Or have I been replaced?" Blurted out Cheryl, tears threatened to stream down her face.

Daisy hesitated before answering. "I-you're...my best friend, Cheryl."

Cheryl sighed in relief and dropped her shoulder though, she knew that she was being lied to currently. The way Daisy had paused before answering and how her hazel eyes were everywhere but her, Cheryl should have walked away, but she didn't. It was just the feeling that she was still loved in someone else's mind and not was forgotten-it was nice.

"Okay." Smiled Cheryl softly at Daisy.

Daisy then laughed and asked. "Was that bothering you?"

No. But nevertheless, Cheryl nodded and mumbled. "Yes."

"Oh, Cheryl..." Chuckled Daisy, pulling away from Cheryl and putting her arm around her neck. "Why would you think that?"

Cheryl didn't say anything, instead, she swallowed the clot forming in her throat and shrugged as they walked down the hallway.

"You're my best friend till the end!" Exclaimed Daisy, grinning at Cheryl who had plastered a smile on her face.

"Hm, you're my best friend till the end too." Nodded Cheryl as they stood outside the entrance door of the cafeteria.

Daisy unwrapped her arms around Cheryl's neck and grabbed Cheryl's hands into hers. "Cheryl? Remember when we used to have sleepovers at my house-let's do one tonight! Just you and me?"

Cheryl's face lightened up at the mention of that. Kathleen, Stella, Chanel, Daisy, and her used to do sleepovers all the time, and Cheryl remembered the pure bliss of it-she would do anything for that time again...and the fact, it was just her and Daisy? Cheryl nodded happily.

"Okay." Smiled Daisy, then she kissed Cheryl's cheek. "I love you."

With that, Daisy left Cheryl outside of the cafeteria before entering the cafeteria. Daisy blew kisses at the boys and flipped her red curls. And all Cheryl could think as she watched as Daisy walked over to the Gems-was that she wanted Daisy to sugarcoat her with talks even if it was just lies.
