Cheryl watched her classmates' eyes glue on the table, waiting for the pink-haired hair again to show up. She was also waiting for Toni Topaz to show up at the table, but she seemed missing. Cheryl frowned, but she wasn't that worrying much like before-she had seen Toni in the halls and in her class... it was just a matter of where she is in the school.

Cheryl would ask Daisy if she knew where Toni was, but Daisy was off. She didn't know why but her best friend in the entire world was being slightly cold toward her. Daisy was never really like this-well, there was that one time where they had the same crush on the same guy, but they had promised each other not to fight over a boy ever again.

But, Cheryl knows that Daisy doesn't have a crush on Toni-matter of fact, it was more hatred, but Daisy will never admit it. Cheryl doesn't want her best friend to think she has been replacing-maybe that's the problem. Daisy was just feeling lonely.

Cheryl suddenly had an idea and got up from her seat. She walked over to Daisy, who was chewing on a salad, and wrapped her arms around Daisy-hugging her.

Daisy laughed, and her face grew red. She grabbed a napkin and wiped her mouth. "Cheryl, what was that for?"

Cheryl shrugged and sat beside Daisy. "I dunno, just wanting you to know that you're loved."

"I know I am loved-" Smiled Daisy, then she frowned. "Wait, do I look sad?"

"No, you just seem sad," Cheryl whispered. "Is everything alright?"

Daisy bit her lips, looking so torn to either spill or not. Cheryl placed a comforting hand on Daisy's shoulder. "You can tell me, Dai-you know that."

"Of course," Nodded Daisy, then she lowered her voice and said, "I'm been kinda avoiding this since I didn't want to hurt your feelings but I don't really like-"

"Hey guys!" Said Toni, walking over and sitting down at the table before realizing that she had interrupted them. "Sorry, was I in the middle of something?"

Cheryl looked over to the sheepish girl and opened her mouth, but Daisy had cut her off, and harshly said, "Yes, Toni, we are-can't you see?!"

Toni looked taken back and opened her mouth, offended when Cheryl quickly stepped in. "Like Daisy was meant to say, yes, we are in the middle of something."

"Oh, okay," Nodded Toni, then she blushed. "Sorry,"

"It's fine! Don't worry about it!" Reassured Cheryl, then she looked back at Daisy, and in a lower voice, she asked, "What is it?"
