SHE TIGHTENED HER PONYTAIL, fastened her sneakers' laces, and made sure that her cheerleader uniform was zipped. Cheryl Blossom and the rest of the River Vixens were getting ready for one last football game before the season ends. Everyone was hyped and anxious for the last football game that would determine the winner of the small town-the Bulldogs had been the winner for the past four years.
The red-headed turned around with a smile on her face as she faced Toni Topaz. Toni laughed, and Cheryl's eyes moved to the girl behind her, Daisy Keene. Daisy shot her a soft smile before looking away. The two of them weren't talking. They exchanged about six words to each other, but they were smiling at one another, and that was an improvement.
Cheryl looked back at Toni, who asked, "Hey, Cheryl-can you zip up my uniform?"
"Sure," Nodded Cheryl, smiling.
Toni turned around, and Cheryl caught a glimpse of Toni's black laced bra. Her face reddened, and she glued her eyes on the back of Toni's hair as she zipped up her cheerleader uniform.
"Done," Mumbled Cheryl, quickly turning around.
"Thanks," Smiled Toni, then she asked, "Should I put my hair into a ponytail or leave it down-it's just that this is my first game!"
"I think you look fine either way," Commented Cheryl and suggested. "But I feel like you should put it up in a ponytail-it would make cheering easier."
"Oh, okay," Said Toni and put her hair into a ponytail. She turned around and twirled. "How do I look?"
"You look pretty, TT!" Said Cheryl. "Someone would be stupid to reject you."
Toni blushed and opened her mouth to respond when Kathleen came up onto the room. She clapped her hands, causing all the girls to look at her. Kathleen flashed them all a big smile and snapped her fingers for Chanel to hand her the clipboard.
"Okay, first of all, ladies, we have been working our asses off for this season," Kathleen said. "So, give yourself a round of applause."
Everyone looked at one another smiling and, Cheryl beamed at Toni before looking back at Kathleen.
"Anyways, like always-we're going to do every seasonal tradition of cheering for one football player!' Smiled Kathleen, causing all the girls to exclaim besides Toni. "You would be assigned with the guy from the previous guy unless you had requested for a change."
Kathleen had winked at her, and Cheryl blushed. She looked away when Toni nudged her. She turned to look at her and raised an eyebrow.
