Today, Hikari's been assigned to get some materials from her house. She already informed Hawks of that, and thankfully, he'll also be there, cleaning the house for weekly cleaning. Aizawa let her have the leave since it's the weekend. As long as she has someone by her side. And for that someone, Katsuki forcibly made Aizawa agree that he has to be the one.
But now, he was regretting it.
Apparently, Hikari loves to walk home after getting off the train. He's learned that just now. He notices how much she keeps looking up and humming to herself, her wings fluttering and fluffing up even more, and not chatting with him like usual. He didn't mind. It's just weird.
He glanced at her pinky and instinctively hooked it with his own. In response to that, she simply tightened the hook and kept humming, this time, edging closer to him so she can touch shoulders with him. He watched from the corner of his eyes as her short white hair bounced up and down from skipping.
He then jolted, feeling her fingers lace with his, not even subtle with the action.
Oh no.
This is bad.
He's starting to sweat through his palms.
He might accidentally explode her hand.
Deep breaths, idiot. Deep breaths. Whoo, okay. You're fine.
Hikari, noticing his breathing, hummed in confusion, nudging her head to his shoulder. "Somethin' botherin', Grenada?" She asked, furrowing her brows, only to have him avert his gaze away with red ears, silent.
Was he embarrassed? He's embarrassed with hand holding? Even though she already sat on his lap? Weird. She adjusted her hand and winced slightly, feeling little pops on their palms. She snapped her head to him when she felt him flinch.
Ah.
She unlaced their fingers, making him look back at her, about to complain, until she hooked her arm with his and pulled herself close to him.
"We can do this if you're still nervous holdin' hands with lil ol me. It doesn't really hurt me, honestly. It just kinda tingles." She explained with a tiny grin.
He turned away.
"I'm not nervous."
"Anythin' ya say, Boom-Boom Boy."
"I'll kill you if you call me that again."
"Yes, yes."
He turned back to her, his brows furrowed.
"What are you even getting from your home?" He asked her, just now remembering he doesn't know what they were doing and simply tagged along.
"Papa's amplifier! I really wanna try using that at the festival and Uncle Zawa agreed. Surprisingly." She said, pressing herself even more to his side, making him tense and making her smirk.
She knew what she was doing.
The bitch.
"Can you stop that."
"Stop what?"
He turned red.
"You know what!"
"I dunno what. Explain?" She smirked at him smugly, but nonetheless moved away a little.
"I've kissed you so many times already, an' I already sat on your lap. What else you embarrassed of that I ain't aware of?" She teased, rubbing her cheek on his shoulder.
"We're in public, Midget!"
"Don't like PDA that much, huh? It's alright. That means I can do all the things I want with you when we're in closed doors."
